Just Hold On We're Going Home

I recently updated by Instagram profile to state I was based between Pennsylvania and Northern Ireland and while it's one small line on a public profile it represented a big mental shift about where "home" is. For a lot of people home is where they grew up or where their family lives. Since I haven't lived in one place for more than three years the former isn't applicable and since my family is scattered all over the states the latter is impractical. For me "home" has largely been where the majority of my stuff is housed; i.e. my current residence of Pennsylvania where I've lived for two and a half years. Now, just as I've started to make roots my home seems to be shifting again; to Northern Ireland. Because that is where Thomas lives and that is who I want to live with. But there's things to be done before I can move overseas. So I'm back "home" in the States...or you know I'm in Pennsylvania where my stuff is.

You look so lovely! Also, I know it's SO tough be separated from your significant other, but you are one tough lady and will be reunited with Thomas before you know it! xo

Good luck with the visa and congratulations on the engagement! It's a sometimes overwhelming process getting everything cleared and sorting the logistics of moving here but so worth it!! Wishing you and Thomas a simple visa process and much happiness!!

Home really is wherever you are with the person you love. My husband and I have moved twice since we got married and it's always been a bit rough transition for me, but it's so much easier because I already have at least one friend! :) I'm never really unhappy because of him. Best of luck with your move!

I was the same, I've moved in a few places within England and while they were in a small country they all hold different memories and feelings for me. I lived in the city of Bath when I was at university and a piece of my heart will always be there (you should visit one day, it's beautiful!). After moving all over the city and then back to where my Mum was living I now live permanently in Northern Ireland. It's starting to feel like home more and more and; even though I've now lived here since March I've only recently changed my social media. You'll settle in great here, which county will you be living in?
