Now A Forest Tall And Well

It's funny how we celebrate all these leaf-y deaths each fall; playing in their mass graves and gleefully crunching them underfoot. We have no respect for the colorful corpses--making them unwilling models in so many photographs. But the beauty they cast with their last breaths is undeniable...

Great autumn outfit. I'm jealous of your scenery. We lost our fall this year thanks to that random blizzard in October. Sigh...

Much as I enjoy your sense of fashion and your uber cute self (despite the recent Sinead O’Conner cut), what I really like about your blog is the literary allusions in the captions. Hunting down the ones I do not recognize is more fun than the Sunday Times crossword puzzle. However, I must admit that today’s caption has me stumped. Any hints?

I love love love that dress.

As for the leaves... nature's just getting a haircut, they'll all be back next spring. Though it's a slightly less romantic way to think about it... : )

I really love your dress and the whole look. Your new hair style looks great with these dresses so feminine.

What you write is so true and profound. I love the look of leaves, especially in photos, but it is a bit creepy, isn't it? I LOVE this carpet patterned dress on you! Just lovely!

I think it's so strange that the season I and so many enjoy most is the season in which everything fades and dies...

You match the pretty, fallen leaves so well. :)

I love it, your outfit is so awesome and quirky!! Hope you do not take this the wrong way but you look like the actress Carey Mulligan. Did she somewhat inspire you to get your pixie cut?

This dress is so perfect for playing around in the leave's "mass graves". You look gorgeous (though your shoes look a tad damp).

@Anonymous, I love Carey Mulligan, but no she didn't really inspire the cut. I just wanted a change so I chopped it off and the pics I took to my hairdresser were actually of Mia Masikowska. :)
