One of the great things about fall dressing is the way the fabrics feel--the textures of things, I love cozy knits and have a mild obsession with velvet. So, it's no surprise I couldn't turn down these velvet leggings because...well, they're velvet. The name leggings is also misleading because they're as structured as most pants (except for the faux pockets), for I am not a fan of leggings as pants when the leggings are basically thick tights! Anyway, this outfit is the epitome of coziness and I feel as if I'm channeling my inner grandpa in it. The perfect sort of outfit for soaking in a sunset down by the river.

That blouse is adorable! And velvet is amazing. Such a fantastic fabric. Although, I am not so much a fan of stretch/crushed velvet... I lived too much of the 1990's to jump on the "retro" train.

I have to say that the leggings don't look as leggings at all. If you haven't tell us, I'd have thought they're ramdom trousers. Anyway, al the pics are very beautiful, the light is so great.

I love the sweater, it has a great color and pattern.
Love these chunky knits too, cant wait to get a few more for our chilly SF winter soon.
You also reminded me the other day I saw a girl walking around the museum in pantyhose as pants. It was the one day out of the week it was warm in SF and I think she must have had a sweater dress on that got too hot and she must have taken it off. I cant even imagine a world where I'd walk around in panty hose in public!
