We Are All Special Cases

Do you ever purchase special items and then "save" them for the perfect (or at least a good) occasion to wear them? This skirt was one of those pieces for me. I bought it on super sale and it's by one of my favorite designers (Carven). New York fashion week seemed like the perfect place to debut it and I wore it with one of my favorite Family Affairs blouses on a day I was visiting Nina's studio. It was the perfect mix of comfort and practicality for running between shows at Lincoln Center and studio visits in Brooklyn, but the pieces still felt very special to me.

Wow, this is truly one of my favorite outfits I've ever seen in your blog. The skirt is really lovely & I love how do you wear it. I think it could also look really well with a vest over. I've saved some clothes for special moments too, some garments are too unique to wear in any occasion.

Such a pretty skirt, I too have some items I save for what I think is a special occasion. Once I have worn it once or twice it suddenly becomes part of my weekly outfits...I am not sure if that is good or bad !

Beautiful! Both pieces are lovely. <3

I am saving some very pretty clothes for - well, not a special occasion, but I am saving them to wear with a "perfect" pairing and at a really nice place to get pictures. :) But I have saved clothes for a special occasion, before, too. ;-D

I wish I had fair skin like yours. Your skin color carries red lips so well.

I agree with everyone else that came before me....great skirt ;) I found a similar white Carven skirt I'm going to feature later, but it's just not as good because it doesn't have the stunning pattern. Great outfit all around.
