Out Of The Gloom

I'm back home in Virginia and with this horse print umbrella, I'm actually looking forward to more rainy days. It was overcast when I took these pictures, but I managed to get back indoors before any of the weather hit, which is quite good because while these shoes are very comfortable they aren't made for splashing through puddles. It wasn't my intention when I got dressed in the morning, but it is nice to bring color into a gloomy day with a highly pigmented dress. Red is one of my favorite colors to wear and the only thing that would make this dress more perfect would be pockets (why is it so hard to find dresses with pockets?). While not the most practical, this outfit is definitely my answer to a gloomy day.

Ah, love that umbrella, shoes are adorable too! And yes, it is sometime hard to find a dress with pockets. I've made a couple dresses so far and sometime I omit pockets because it makes the dress hang funny, that's probably why! Nice post, great pics!

Completely adore this dress, red is definitely your colour. The umbrella is the sweetest thing too, I never wish for rain but with an umbrella like that, well you can't help but hope for rain in order to put it into action! I love it.

Cute umbrella! Like how you love red colour, I love how it looks on you! Red brings out the colour of your hair and gives a glow to your skin, pretty!

Hey Rebecca, love this dress on you. And the fabulous umbrella. It's raining in Mumbai, but no matter how sturdy an umbrella I buy, it ends up getting damaged in Mumbai rains. Hope you have better luck with your lovely find.

It is good idea to use your school uniform as your outfit. Old is gold!http://tigerbookstore.com/home.aspx

I adore that umbrella! How is the quality on that one? I need a good umbrella for the upcoming rainy season, but I want one that lasts.
