Every Artist Dips Her Brush Into Her Own Soul

Brash Fall hasn't quite chased Summer away just yet, so on a sunny day in New York I was happy to throw on some vivid sandals and an artsy shirtdress. I can't remember the last time I painted anything (0ther than the walls of a house), but I do greatly admire art so this dress was such an appealing piece--it's like a dozen childhood experiments beautifully exploded in my wardrobe. I wouldn't mind more summer-y days to wear this dress, although it will probably layer nicely as well.
Outfit details:
Cheap Monday sunglasses
Wren dress
ASOS purse

Lovely dress! And I'm drooling over the sandals! I really enjoy when my clothes remind me of the power and beauty of art.

I will always have a special place in my heart for shirt-dresses. They always look so put together and neat. This one is no exception, even with the beautiful random paint smush pattern!

That's very awesome, reminds me of art lessons as a child. So so hot in London today, could have done with a breezy frock!

What a cute dress! I feel like you could do this as a DIY project, but I'm not sure what medium you would use that wouldn't run or fade quickly, or make the fabric stiff. Hmm. One for a rainy day!
