A good sweater is like a warm cup of tea or the embrace of an old friend; it's infinitely comforting in a very physical way, but also has the ability to set our minds and spirits at ease. It's always interesting how people like to divide the body from concerns of the mind or heart. While the two are separate, they're irrevocably intertwined. A cozy cardigan might not solve any problems of the heart, but it can help you face the day; by making you feel as if you're wrapped up in your favorite blanket from childhood.

So true, the perfect cardigan is well warn, either slighted stretched from all the wear or like my favorite, slightly shrunk because my husband threw it in the dryer. Regardless they are thing of comfort. :)

that's a truly lovely cardigan - great buttons! I can see that connection between body and mind, when I wake up on a rainy day and feel a bit low, or if I'm stressed about something I'm going to do at work, I tend to dress as unobtrusive as possible with some big cardigan to hide in. If I feel all good I dress more expressive! Maybe I should try to dress up more when I feel low, I guess that could get my mood up? What's your "getting dressed philosophy" on less then perfect day?

I AM SO JEALOUS OF THAT CARDIGAN RIGHT NOW. Of course, I'm also wearing one (mine's leopard print, hehe) but yours looks wonderfully loose and cozy whereas mine is more form-fitting. I totally have to break out my big sweaters some time soon. :)
