Work All Day For The Sugar In Your Tea

Military bases can be fascinating places sometimes. My mother was telling me about ghost ships in the neglected harbor of this base. I saw them through the afternoon haze; shadowy figures along the horizon line. They stand ready, fully functioning and completely prepared for the day they are required. But the decks are empty and no crew mans the lonely vessels. And then there are these abandoned trains, rusting off the back roads. I don't know what purpose these serve, but I'm glad I'm able to visit them. My range of exploration is so limited here compared to the expanse I used to roam in Washington state last year, but there are still many interesting things to uncover.

I love that dress from Chicwish!

When you explore around where you live do you drive or walk? I know the places still awaiting my discovery where I live are limited, and I can't drive yet. So I can only go places within walking distance, but even then I hate walking to a pretty place only to find it filled with people.

The last picture of you looking out from the train is beautiful! I know that if you have a family one day they will be so grateful to have so many great pictures of their loved one!

I love weird abandoned stuff! The faint eeriness when you think about the people who used to use it... good fun!

I love the ethereal feel of your writing now, how the text accompanying your beautiful outfits are pretty and sort of haunting. Keep it up! :)

Also you always choose amazing locations for your posts, the eeriness of this one really brings out your adorable ensemble. I especially love the collar of that dress!

Very cool! I love trains. If there are any that run around you, you should hop one. They go pretty slow through towns and populated areas, so it's really easy to jump on and ride for a minute or two, then get off again. Haha :p

Also, I just watched Rear Window again today, and then saw your post on it! What a coincidence. It's such a great movie.

very very very lovely!!! Makes me think of an old railway that has the cars still attached in the town I went to high school in. Only problem is that there are so many bugs and ticks in it that I never went there for a photoshoot. You look so nice though in these colors!!!!!
