Anyone who has read this blog for even a fleeting period of time knows that I am not a tee shirt and jeans (or shorts) kind of person. Nothing against that kind person, after all everyone has value and I enjoy different perspectives, but it's not me. It was someone I tried to be once; I spent much of high school in a uniform of jeans and tee shirts, but these sartorial decisions were driven by a desire to not call attention to myself and a self-consciousness over my pale (often bruised and bitten) legs. As I've gotten more comfortable with expressing myself through clothes I've donated nearly every tee shirt and thrust all jeans to the back of my wardrobe. However, on occasion, it is nice to choose a comfy tee and an easy pair of shorts. It's also nice to know I'm choosing those items now not from self-consciousness, but rather for variety.

I love that shorts! Variety is good. I've passed all the stages: only jeans, only dress/skirt...Now I alternate both. For me, it's much more funny & interesting because I get easily bored of wear only jeans or only dresses.

I totally know what you mean about not being a t-shirt and jeans kind of person. My husband is very much like that and I always feel overdressed sometimes. But, you gotta dress like yourself=) Btw, you are so adorable with those red shorts and your pretty red hair!

I know exactly what you are talking about! I've just started to wear dresses and all these stuff and I feel much better now. I just don't like jeans, etc. But I wore them for years and I never felt well with them... And I like also special shorts, like the one you are wearing!

@Anonymous, I don't know what it was meant to mean; it is a mickey mouse fist & I can see the black power thing, but I rather like to think of it as mickey trying to punch me in the face...unfortunately it didn't come with an explanation. :/
