Aftermath

Storm season isn't supposed to begin until September, but it decided to start early this year. Last week was certainly interesting as we weathered an earthquake and hurricane here in Virginia. I've been through both events before, so they weren't too unsettling for me. In the end, Hurricane Irene knocked down a number of branches, overturned a few trees, and left us without power for a little over 24 hours. Since no one in our area was hurt and even our uncomfortable lack of power was resolved rather quickly, I'm counting myself quite lucky..

Glad to hear everything was okay in your neck of the woods. WE had minor damage in NY, which was a blessing. Love the skirt.

That's good that you're okay! Irene was a bit more severe here in Jersey, flooding a lot of towns and leaving power outages in its trail...

On a lighter note, lovely outfit. I really like those wedges!

glad you're okay! We were lucky in the DC area to not really suffer anything more than leaves and twigs all over the place!
LOVE your outfit! The photos are equally as beautiful!

That's great news. I've never experienced the wrath of a hurricane living in Ireland so I can only imagine how terrifying it must be. Your outfit is gorgeous as always and you always have such pretty settings :)

Wow. I came on here not expecting to see any new posts. I'm in CT and I JUST got my power back today! And they're not even done. I think a tree fell on a power line just about every 20 feet!
