Rikka Sormunen's illustrations read like quirky narratives. I just long to know the rest of the story behind each scene and the characters in them. She has painted quite a bizarre and beautiful little world. The unique details in each piece add to a sense of mystery and capriciousness; a ladylike blouse is covered in the print of pills and bear-like arms emerge from underneath a bed...
