A Dance That's Walked, A Song That's Spoken

I love, love the classic shape and movement of my other Trashy Diva dresses, so I was beyond thrilled to receive this one in such a perfect spring fabric. This is the doris style (you can get the same fabric in a variety of dress styles) and I tailored mine up a bit to make it slightly shorter. It's really such a lovely piece with the sort of movement that rather makes you feel like dancing.

What a beautiful springy green color on that dress! It isn't a color one sees very often. It looks so great with your hair and that cute jacket!

I love the drama of the wall's peeling paint in contrast with the mint-fresh, utterly spring-ness of your dress...

I love your mix of colors, especially that lipstick (it's my addiction in life along with Peanut Butter Crunch cereal)!

You look darling as always, and I hope your Tuesday has been great. xo

Lovely dress, but i notice that your dresses are usually quite expensive.

Every single time your wear those shoes, I think to myself... I NEED THOSE. They are so adorable with everything you wear.

@Anonymous, it depends on your definition of expensive, since I know many people who consider $100 for a dress very reasonable. And let's see the butterfly dress from Friday cost me $8, the vintage dress a couple of days before that was $18, the vintage dress from last monday was $35...honestly, my wardrobe is a mix of what I get for cheap and what I decide to invest in.
But you know, when you buy your own clothes you get to decide your budget.

Of course you get to decide your budget, there's no need to sound so defensive and list out the price of each piece of dress. When you do get sponsors here and there you can invest in good pieces elsewhere.

Hello lovely! I just saw your gorgeous mug over at the Trashy Diva blog and had to swing over to say hi. the dress and how you style it is FANTASTIC. you make dressing stylishly look so effortless. Love the pairing of the jean jacket (beyond pale denim) and the nudie color shoes. Delightful.

@Anonymous, an answer & explanation is defensive? I don't see how responding to your comment was somehow defensive/negative. This is a dialogue; don't leave comments if you don't want to engage in conversation. If I was offended & felt I needed to desperately protect my image/blog I merely would have deleted your comment. I'm just talking with you...the same as I would in person. Sorry if that came off too strong.
