Barcelona Day One

I am back from my little Euro-trip. Traveling is definitely one of my number one passions; probably even more than fashion. I'd like to explore at least one new country every year...but we'll see how feasible that plan is as time progresses. This was my first visit to Spain (which was fantastic) and my second time to Italy.
We hit the ground running in Barcelona. After our overnight flight, short train ride, and then metro to our hostel we dropped off our bags and set out exploring with barely a breath in between. First on the agenda was some sustenance (tapas, paella, etc), but then it was time to start playing the tourist. On our first day we managed to see La Rambla, the Arc de Triomf (where these pictures were taken), and my favorite: Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. I'm dedicating another post to the Sagrada Familia this afternoon since I took so many pictures there (the light within that building was breathtaking).
It was a very auspicious beginning to our trip and set the pace for the days to come. To be brief: I had a wonderful trip full of experiences I would be happy to repeat.
Outfit details:
Gryphon trench coat
thrifted shoes
ASOS sunglasses

I loved Barcelona! In fact, I loved all of Spain. I spent three weeks there and loved every single place I visited. Each one was so different and unique. I'd love to live there!

It seems every country has an Arc de Triumf, doesn't it?

I cannot WAIT to hear about your adventures, as I rather love traveling, too. I just wish I had the lifestyle and time that afforded such adventures.

I do recommend visiting Iceland as next on your list. It is literally one of the most bizarre, unique and breathtaking places on earth.

oh you look gorgeous. and the arc is of of my favorite places, i lived about a 10 min walk away from there. i'm so beyond jealous that you were in barcelona. i was actually able to visit la sagrada familia the day after the pope blessed it as a basilica. the line was longer than you'd believe. but so worth it!

I've always meant to take pictures at the Arc de Triomf... I just love it for being red and a bit quirky. Even though no one who lives there is sure what Barcelona was ever triumphant about. ; )

I'm glad you had a nice trip and am looking forward to the rest of your posts!
