Flight Leads The Flock

It's beginning to look like spring and my blue obsession is re-emerging. All I want to wear lately is some shade of my favorite color. Although this dress from my sponsor Spotted Moth is technically black and white, it felt like a denim to me and I thought it would be a nice mix of patterns with my new trench coat. I'm celebrating spring sunshine with my necklace, also from Spotted Moth, that reminds me of bunting. Add a pop of red and this outfit really couldn't get any more nautical...
Outfit details:
street vendor sunglasses
Clinque red, red, red lipstick

Such a lovely trench! And I notice there's something going on behind you, a training of some sort?

cute - nautical dress

I was about to say, because of the cute, feminine lines to emphasize shape and body, it is both French as well as Nautical. I absolutely adore that dress. I would contemplate getting one myself, but I'm on a major shopping ban.

It's gorgeous! Even the small pop of red and the minimal tan accessories, gives it a really, really upscale, sophisticated feel.

And of course, back in the sun next to your beloved water.

Do you think you'd ever be able to live in a place without lots of water? (Colorado, Idaho?) You seem spiritually connected to water, to me.

I very much want to order this dress, but am worried about fit. Would you say it fits true to size, or is there something to be noted with sizing. Any information you could give would be great!

BTW- love this outfit!

The print on that trench is so wonderful! And it looks so lovely with your dress :)

@Kara, I e-mailed you more details, but yes I'd say it runs true to size. The size chart on the page next to the dress is very accurate.

what an interesting pattern on this trench!

@Eliise, yeah, it wasn't drilling exactly. I don't know exactly what it was, but some young soldiers ate their lunches by the water, and then had to line up and down some cadence calls before they piled into the bus.

I 've been meaning to say this for a long time:
I love your blog because
a) you have an amaaaazing taste in clothes-almost identical to mine and b) You seem to have a really genuine style, but you are NOT PRETENTIOUS (..you know what i mean when i say pretentious....you've seen other blogs)! You're a beautifull girl with lovely taste on accessories and clothes, you're not trying too hard! :)

Yes! I own this dress too! I got it on ShopRuche the other day.

They look great with the Seychelles Hawk...if only I didn't have a freakish tumor of a big toe that gets blistered every time I wear a peep toe.

Ooh, that trench!
I always thought trenches were so much more "free" than any other coat, because you can tie the belt so many ways, and the material is light enough to fold this way and that. And your trench also has birds on! Perfect!

Also, the sunnies nad the lipstick really makes it all work, love this ensemble! :)
