I bought this buffalo plaid dress while I was in Japan on a bit of a whim; it was cute and cheap, so why not? It's definitely one of those pieces that has really been worn to bits in the past four years! I find it so versatile and the lightweight material makes it perfect for layering. I think anyone looking for a great clothing item to remix: a shirt dress is a good place to start.

@Shy, those are like 5 yrs old so I've worn them a ton, but shoes can't really do remix posts b/c they never look different (unless I wore shoe clips, which I don't). :)
Very cute look. I especially love the first outfit. I can't understand how you can tuck a dress into shorts though. It looks very cute, mind you. But I've tried it and, ack, too much bunching to be comfortable!
Oh, and I am always on the lookout for a good shirt dress. But I never can find one long enough!

I love shirt dresses. I'm wondering, though, how did you effectively wear it with shorts and skirts without the shirt dress showing? Pins? I'll check up on this post again in hopes you reply.
@Lily, yes: safety-pins; I use them in most of my remixes. It helps that this dress is really short & those shorts are baggy/roomy. :)
