Of Real Worlds As Bright As Thine

We've had some frightfully clear and cold days lately. It always strikes me as counter-intuitive that overcast days with snow can be significantly more warm than clear, bright winter days with a brisk wind. It's as if the outside is deceptively brilliant and inviting, but like a will-o'-the-wisp from a fairy tale, it's an illusion of false warmth and security. I am of course that foolish wanderer of yore who can't resist following the flickering lights...if I chase the sun long enough spring will arrive, no?

Those over cast days are what I live for!! When a nice blanket keeps everything tolerably warm. I think I would love to live by the ocean like you. Your pictures are beautiful as always!

It's really disconcerting when you go outside and bam! The sunshine belies the frozen temps. I get that all the time here in MN.

I love your hair!

I am just posting and wearing a sweater the same color. And coinkydink, I'm also wearing the pendent I won from one of your give-aways. -Bella Q

The colors in this outfit and the way you've combined them are beautiful, and in the photos they are juxtaposed beautiful with the clear blue of the sky and the gray brown of the grass...your blog really inspires me.

Sorry if that sounds cheesy.

That is possibly the most amazing cardigan I've ever seen. Never have I wanted something with two colours more than tights with different coloured legs after seeing Zefirelli's Romeo and Juliet. Lovely scenery too :)
