Olsenboye Giveaway

I recently received a few Olsenboye items that I really enjoy, like my jacket that I wore in the snow here. Unfortunately, I also received two dresses that don't quite fit me...so I'm giving them away! If you haven't heard, Olsenboye is a new line of clothing designed by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen and carried exclusively at JCPenny. They've been doing a number of very smiley videos to promote the line, like this one shot in London (where can I get that studded headband?!).
This giveaway is for two Olsenboye dresses (size small, LBDs), to enter this giveaway:

I love clothing giveaways so much, I just wonder what the dresses look like? Although, I don't care that much. I love dresses in general.

I've been thinking forever for something mildly entertaining to put, and all I've come up with is to just go to cracked.com and read one of their "Top 6" articles, and you'll be hooked (or you won't be.. I guess it depends on your sense of humor). Ie. the Worst Commutes article is highly entertaining.

Not very entertaining, but I found this hair band on ASOS: http://www.asos.com/Lipsy/Lipsy-Pearl-Detail-Hair-Band/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=1388757&cid=4174&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=200&sort=-1&clr=Nude

Not sure if it's anything close to what you're looking for :)

Maybe this is creepy rather than entertaining but you were in my dream last night with some other bloggers and harry potter stars. No jokes. Freaky dream involving me interviewing people on the radio. And those videos are VERY smiley indeedy. Yeah giveaways.

I can't think of anything entertaining at the moment I'm afraid. I will however share that I just started reading Red Harvest by Dashiell Hammett and that it is so far very good, as are the rest of his novels, and I recommend them all highly.

Let's see.

Do you like Haruki Murakami? He's my favorite author. I'm excited for his new book 1Q84 ('1984' in Japanese, The English 'Q' and the Japanese for number '9' sound the same!) to be translated into English in 2011. You should read a few of his books, if you haven't. Here a few suggestions: 'Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman', 'Hard-Boiled Wonderland and The End of the World"

Thanks for suggesting "Black Swan", I watched it yesterday and it's fucking awesome. The Rodarte designs are so beautiful.

I got these tights for Christmas, they're just like the DIY gradient tights you spoke about on your blog: http://angelredflame.deviantart.com/art/Pink-Gradient-191023099

Also, here is an octopus from space: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_Z5xOozjPHT0/TQ0Gw4-sfUI/AAAAAAAAAnM/eqeOn1qXDqo/s400/CCF12132010_00000%2B%25283%2529.jpg

I was trying to think of a mildly amusing comment, and then I scrolled down and the captcha for this comment is heman. Which made me think of He-Man and She-ra. Did you play with those as a kid? My brother and I had some crazy setups since we had pretty much every toy and both castles. I also played with his Micro Machines. But he didn't like to play with my Barbies or My Little Ponies. Also I would collect baseball cards like him and read his sports-themed books even though I didn't like sports. I guess I never realized what an annoying little sister I must have been.

Some other mildy entertaining things...

And if you like comics:

I can't guarantee that you'll find this entertaining since it's sort of one of those "you had to be there" moments, but while in Austin last week visiting my boyfriend's nieces, the 6 year-old approached me with a look of extreme concern on her face. When I asked her what was wrong, she said she was "stressed out." I asked her why, and she responded with "Because Auntie Melissa, I'm worried that when I grow up, I'll lose my sense of style like mommy's friends." Yep. I asked her if she was sure we weren't related.

Also follow you on twitter as @MotM_EcoFashion and just tweeted about the giveaway.

I don't know if this might be entertaining to you, but, the last three times we have gone shopping, we have gone with the intention of getting toys, or household items and we always end up buying clothes and shoes somehow. Like tonight, we went into Goodwill to buy some xbox controllers and came out with a huge load of stuff that did not involve xbox playing at all LOL. Two dresses, two pairs of shoes, a skirt, some necklaces, a pressure pot and a guitar....that sure doesn't sound like xbox controllers at all but it was so much fun. I loove shopping, and that happens all the time! :D

My history teacher is at a New Year's party of one of the other history teachers at my school. The niece of the host comes up to them, and my history teacher makes conversation by asking her if she has a boyfriend.

"No way!" she replies.
"Well, why not?"
"Because boys are icky!"
"Why do you say that?"
With a straight face and a hint of disgust and that tone people use when they're telling you something obvious she says "Because they have penises."
