Where The Wild Things Are

the clothes horse, retro, vintage, vintage hat, sonia rykiel, black hat, gold studs, mustard leather, fashion, style, redhead, tiger shirt, mary jane heels
I built this outfit around my new Wear The Wild Things Are shirt; which is another little challenge to myself. I mean, how often do you see me in a tee shirt, let alone one sporting a tiger with metallic bits? Yet, the shirt was too fun to pass up and seemed to find a perfect match with my secondhand leather skirt (which originally was another experiment, but now is one piece I keep wearing again and again!). After the shoes were on my feet I knew the perfect hat to complete the look: a little vintage number that has been wasting away in my closet for ages. I was attracted to the little gold studs on this hat which reminded me of sea urchins and Sonia Rykiel headbands. In the end it was the accessories really made the whole outfit feel more me.

I'm loving this as well! I do think that wearing a graphic T is very out of the norm for your style, but you've grown so much over the years to embrace "out of the box" style. I love that you challenge yourself to take your style in other directions, yet remain true to your essential fashion roots.

The accessories are fun and charming. Add some netting to that hat and it would make a fine fascinator/40's style hat.

Lovely as always.

Love this but my those shoes on the ladder is a hazard haha. Love it though, are those shoes comfy? They're quite amazing!

I need to wear t-shirts more too! They just make the outfit seem more casual and tone down an otherwise too dressy outfit on a regular day. I also just found a vintage black beret with studs this weekend. What a coincidence! I love the pattern on yours!

So this is pret-ty badass, if I do say so myself.

Great outfit! T-shirts tucked into high-waisted skirts are a very good idea, just the right mix of casual and elegant. I have a feeling this will inspire me if the weather ever gets warmer again here in my place :)

A yellow leather skirt that somehow manages to look totally.....wear-able. Each component of the outfit seems like it'd be overwhelming on its own, but somehow they all work great together!

I always look forward to your outfit posts, because you constantly take risks and venture outside your comfort zone. At the same time, every outfit has your unique "stamp" on it. It's so refreshing and inspiring!

Anyways, you look fabulous! If I had found that yellow leather skirt in a thrift store, I probably wouldn't have looked twice, but it's definitely one of my favorite pieces of yours! And that hat! Gorgeous!

Your shoes! Love 'em. I have to ask; are they easy to walk in at all? I'm thinking of buying a similar pair online (yeah, miu miu knock-offs, bad me, bad me!) and they seem so high! but then again, maybe it makes a difference cause of the platform... Help me!

You look lovely by the way; the colourcombination is great and I adore the little hat!

I adore that hat! It ties everything together perfectly.

Those shoes..wow. Those are some high heels! I wouldn't have risked the ladder in those, but I'm also perhaps the world's most accident prone person.
