Veni, Vidi, Venezia

In our final hours in Venice we experienced some tumultuous weather. Cloudy skies turned the canals from their usual blue-green to a threatening grey. Wind whipped through the streets and sprinkling rain turned into a downpour in seconds. Luckily, we ducked into a little café for some very necessary pizza. By the time we finished the rain had ceased and the slick streets were shining from the sun. It would be fascinating to stay in Venice for a year and watch the city change with the seasons…
Overall, our time in Venice ended too soon for me. It might be a geographically small area, but I still feel there is much left to explore. I also felt more comfortable there than in any other city I visited in Europe on this most recent excursion.

Outfit details:
UO jacket
Triptych dress

Aw, I felt the same as you about Venice! Despite being geographically small it is so rich in places to explore. I wasn't there very long either, but when I go back I really want to soak it up and take it all in.

Hey- I'm not sure how far you are into your Italian adventures, but in case you're still in Florence/ on the way to Florence, I HIGHLY recommend the Gelateria dei Neri and the Alinari Photography Museum. I studied in Florence this year and I don't think anyone should go to Italy without going to those two places :)

And if you need any other advice about places in Florence or Bologna, just let me know!

what beautiful words you wrote about this italian city ... you make me feel proud to be Italian, although in fact this country has many problems ... if one day you'll want to come to Milan, I will gladly guide you in the city! I like the pictures you made and the colors and lights that you managed to capture with your lens! thank you

Is it funny that with all your beautiful pictures in this post, I was jealous of you because of the beautiful brick wall covered in ivy you are standing in front of? haha brick walls are some of the best backgrounds for pictures. :)
