My second day in Venice was even better than the first--much less time spent being lost and more spent in churches full to the brim with Tintorettos. Please note, that if you are visiting churches and you're dressed similarly to what I'm wearing here: take a wrap or cardigan to cover up. I had my sister's cardigan, but I saw one lady wrapped in paper: no lie, paper.

Venice is truly a treasure, even more so due to its sinking state. Although, I have heard that this may no longer be the case due to modern engineering. I loved touring the basilicas in Italy, but San Marco was such a visual treat. That and the Doge's Palace, as well.
This dress is stunning! I love how it is so classic in the front with a twist in the back. I never made it to Venice while I was in Italy, but I've always wanted to do. Your photos are beautiful!

Oh! I love that dress a lot, especially the back. I remember when you posted about it. I went to Istanbul a few years ago and it was 101 degrees every single day. I was so worried about offending other people and being dressed inappropriately for a mosque that I would wear a cardigan over my short dresses but I put a stop that pretty quickly once I realized I was going to faint from all the walking and heat exhaustion and decided just to weather the sidelong glances and occasional comments.

I have the most amazing time of my life in Venice last summer, I was there for the Biennale, the huge contemporary art festival. The mixture of old beauty and new ideas was mind blowing. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
