From Heaven Like A Weeping Cloud

"But when the melancholy fit shall fall
Sudden from heaven like a weeping cloud,
That fosters the droop-headed flowers all,
And hides the green hill in an April shroud;
Then glut thy sorrow on a morning rose,
Or on the rainbow of the salt sand-wave,
Or on the wealth of globed peonies;
Or if thy mistress some rich anger shows,
Emprison her soft hand, and let her rave,
And feed deep, deep upon her peerless eyes."
-John Keats

Oh I love Keats. Thank you for this Rebecca. You have just reminded me how much I adore poetry and what life and joy it can bring to life. Now I shall go to sleep bathing in the loveliness of these lines and also the loveliness of these paintings.

Seriously, thank you. I had forgotten how beautiful words could be and the power they have to touch you deeply.

I fuckin' love John Keats. If I was ever to get a tattoo it would be a quote from one of his poems.
For some reason I always imagine Hugo Weaving as Elrond (Lord of the Rings) reading this poem. I think it's the 'melancholy fit shall fall' bit.
PS Your remix posts are so inspiring. I'm planning a move soon and will need to pack light, so am taking a big leaf out of your book!
PPS Also wish I had your Tryptych lion dress.
