Across Rivers, Farms and Statelines

My epic, never-ending journey continues and I have now traveled down to Virginia, the site of my new home. We are exploring the new base, but still living out of suitcases (ugh!) for awhile yet. This military base is quite interesting; it's located right on the beach, but also has a central part that is separated from the rest of the base by a moat. I climbed up the hill to walk along the moat and take some pictures of it. People were fishing here and I even saw a bald eagle wing by. It is going to be a very interesting place to live...for a year.

Love the new scenery and can't wait to see more from exploring the new location!

I adore those wedges...lately I've been seriously wanting a pair in my life. So much more practical (most of them time!).

wow, seychelles wins. i bought two pairs of seychelles shoes this fall and even though i don't generally love open-toe or wedges, these are also adorable!

i can't imagine moving around as much as you seem to do! it must be fascinating to familiarize yourself with so many (very different) parts of the country! you can't get much different than washington and virginia :)

Are you in Virgina Beach/Norfolk area?

I love this dress! All of your pictures are always so beautiful.

I sort of miss the military nomad life. I've been sitting still for 4 years now and I'm getting the itch to relocate.

I'm really looking forward to all of your Virginia photos - it's a gorgeous state. And some of the military bases are on really gorgeous bodies of water (I know Quantico is at least).

Really cute outfit! It must've been hot during the shoot, the sun is really bright there, lol.

Actually, I really like your new scenery! There's something interesting about the contrast of the industrial feel of the walls and then the gorgeous waterfront and foliage.

As always, you looks gorgeous!
One thing I'd really appreciate, however, if you were to do a tutorial for this hair style--your hair is longer than mine and yet I STILL can't keep it up!
Thanks!

Love, hannah

You saw a bald eagle fly by?! That's so awesome and pleasantly befitting of your new militant surroundings.

(I haven't left a comment or done any other online exchanges with you in quite a while...just wanted to let you know that I'm still a reader, lurker, and fan. Hope you're settling down as comfortably as possible in your new home!)
