The lovely people over at Elizabeth Lau were kind enough to send me this sweater dress which is pretty much perfect for the weather I've been enduring lately! I love the dramatic sleeves and the overall silhouette, but really the fantastic feel of the knit is the best part; it's cozy without seeming heavy. I intended to task my sister to take more pictures for me, but it started raining quite hard so we tried to wrap things up quickly. Luckily my coat was water-proof and I wrapped my scarf around my head for some impromptu coverage.

How beautiful1 I love all of Elizabeth Lau's designs.
I love your rings, the hedgehog ring and the bird. I don’t know why but I’m going manic over animal accessories at the moment. I just went out and bought a deer ring, (it has little antlers and everything!!) and a bear ring from Topshop, plus I have a bird in a cage that hangs around my neck, and little birds dangling from my ears. I probably seem so weird right now.
I read in this post that your sister takes your photos for you, same here. Someone said that that was lame but I don’t care. She takes the best pictures, and what does it matter who takes your photos anyway. I’m glad to know that it’s not just me in that scenario.
May I ask, how did you create the effect of floating in midair in one of your photos? I’ve seen it done a few times and I’ve always wondered how it’s done. It’s probably one of those things that everyone knows how to do and I’m just being snazzy about it, but oh well. If you don’t ask I suppose you never find out things.

You're so creative with the way you quickly made your scarf into a hoodie. Oh, and i love the surprise element of the 'eyes'(pardon me if i'm wrong) on the trench. So quirky!

The dress looks lovely and soft even in the photos, and the sleeves are just wonderful. I have to confess myself almost relieved to see you with picked-at nailpolish... you are always so immaculate in that department it's practically eerie.
Thanks for visiting the other day, I'm really enjoying your travelling adventures so far!
the dress is fab, so classic yet chic! come follow me xoxo
oh i am sooo in love with this whole look! especially the scarf on head! =)
this look is perfectly elegant.
That dress is lovely. You look great - especially love the back of that coat!
@Anonymous/Nesha, I couldn't get your link to work so I'm answering you here! The floating pic: I'm jumping.
Also, my sister has only taken my pictures since I am away and travelling with her. 95% of the pictures on this site (all my outfit post pre-Europe) are taken by me and I have taken several posts worth here as well. It is a sensitive subject for me b/c I'm really big on taking my own pics, but when you're being a tourist it is annoying to lug a tripod around.
Anyway, every post that doesn't state who took the pictures=I took them. I always credit my sis when she does it (and I have to direct her for angles and composition!)...
But yeah, there's nothing lame about getting help--it's actually really cool when your family will support you. My sister I think finds it a bit ridiculous and has issues working my camera, but I really appreciate when she does help me. And so many girls get their boyfriends to do it too (even Rumi of FashionToast)!
Oh wow! I love this!! The red scarf is amazing with it.
It's so nice that you've got your sister to take photos of you- she does a good job, even if you prefer to take them yourself, don't worry too much about it :)
That dress is AWESOME. :) The sleeves are amazing, I've always been a fan of simple dresses mixed with interesting accents. Lovely outfit!
I love how you always manage to look so serene in the photos where you are jumping ~ it makes me want to give it a go.
And that dress is amazing, you look great in it.
xox,

You look quite sophisticated here. :)
My brother takes my photos for me and he definitely does not get the concept of outfit photos. He either zooms too much on my face or zooms out til I'm a speck! I appreciate the effort though!
