Paris Sous La Pluie

On a rainy day here in Paris my sister and I spent most of our time in our borrowed apartment escaping the bad weather. It was actually a pleasant little breather, as I have been tourist-ing nonstop in Paris. Every day has been a long and lovely walk to some interesting destination and then an equally long walk back. After awhile, as much as you enjoy seeing new things, you just want to put your feet up and eat some macarons.
I took these pictures using my tripod in the stairwell and hallway outside of our apartment. It's a dark, narrow little space so it was quite difficult to get images I was satisfied with, especially as I quite dislike pictures taken indoors in general. Still, the outfit is Proenza Schouler inspired, so I thought I would share my slightly Gothic, school girl outfit.

the weaving stair case really catches your eye

A day indoors sounds much needed. Although I've been enjoying your touristy posts, it must be exhausting!

Well, your hair color makes it a little less gothic! Yeah, I used to do all indoors when I first started blogging (almost everyone does) until realizing how much more wonderful it is to take our shots outside!

your hair looks so pretty! And I love your socks :)) I don't think this look is gothic at all ( or at least not on you!)

jolie tenue. j'adore la couleur de tes cheveux

*I should probably clarify that by Gothic I mean in relates to Romanticism (I also use the term romantic to mean romanticism rather than a literal love story) and architecture and history. I didn't mean to imply the literal, Gothic subculture of style...although it definitely reads that way.

This looks like a pretty perfect fall outfit and I'm going to have to find some patterned socks as soon as I stop being in denial that fall is coming!
P.S. After years of traveling/moving I pretty much have a horror of knick-knacks. And honestly, at our age, why do we want to be weighed down by a bunch of stuff? Though I can appreciate that for four years you might want to decorate a bit.
P.P.S. Tequila wasn't too hot if you stayed in the lovely interior courtyards. But the bus was pretty much unbearable... ; )

I've read your blog for a while and I remember you mentioning that people sometimes underestimate your age. Well, with the way you look here, you put all the mistaken to shame. You look perfectly in place in Paris. Lovely!

The socks and the shoes are such a nice piece of flare.

Something about stairwells always makes me think of Alice in Wonderland and going down into the rabbit hole or something. Stairwells are the portal to another world, another universe, something dark, dreamy.

I love these photos.
