My sister and I have wandered into a few different markets during our time here in Paris. Some quite remind me of ones I visit in the States, but this particular one that I photographed here seemed more...romantic. You just don't see vendors selling individual glasses of wine at flea markets where I come from.

Don't you ever get worried that someone doesn't what their booth photographed? What do you do in those situations? I can't help but get a little camera shy about snapping out a photo. Should I just stop being over-considerate?
Ooh, thank you so much for the eye candy! French flea markets look much more romantic than Hawaiin flea maarkets! :)
@Aromy, oh people make it clear if they don't like it and then I stop. But I'm not afraid to try and wait until someone voices a complaint. Also I took photojournalism and in most states (and countries) if it is in public view, they legally can't stop you from photographing it. Especially if you're photographing it for personal use and won't make a profit from the images.
I wish I were there! There seems to be everything!

These are all beautiful. and you dress is gorgeous too!
Yeah, I had one moment in NY where I was taking pictures of novelties in front of the Met and an irate women waved her hand at me to stop taking pictures. :/ Still, you managed to get a lot of wonderful pictures, I love how you depict the marketplace!

Oh, I'm enjoying your Paris photos so much! I'm going there at the end of September for a few days before I take the TGV down south. I'm always terrified people will get angry at me for taking photos, even though like you said, I know they don't have the legal right to stop me. This is probably why I've always utterly failed in all of my forays into journalism.
Anyway, I love these pictures! I loved going to the market in Paris. I hope there's tons more Paris posts to come.

Amazing. Wish I had markets by me like that ha

Ow, I wish I could be on that market right now, instead of sitting in a styffy classroom, writing about the Maya's! Looks so beautiful :)
Loving all the photos! Hope you are enjoying your travelling!
I would be very tempted to buy so much of that! How did you resist?!

My country! xo
I'm also hesitant to take pictures when I'm out, like Aromy, but as you say; if it's out there, it's generally OK to take pictures ^^, I need to remember that!
I love markets <3 And I'd really like to see some glasses of wine sold at one here in Oslo!
These photos are lovely, I studied each of them for ages, there was so much to look at! I love visiting markets, I've never been to one that looked as good as this. Greenwich market used to sell individual glasses of mulled wine of apple cider though which was always nice on a cold day! x
This is all so awesome. I'm so having a wall of cameras in my house when I buy my own. It's definite.
Oh lovely! What market is this? I'm hoping to go back to Paris soon!!
Oh... this looks like so much fun!

looks amazing! where in paris is this market?
traveling? so where exactly are you going? and do you always carry your camera in the bags you have during shoots?
Beautiful and interesting pictures. I'm going to Paris in two weeks - would you mind sharing the name/location of this market? Also, was the stuff there, especially the vintage cameras, generally well-priced? Thanks!
Wow, this market seems great... I live just near Paris and, like Dottie, I'd love to know where this is. ^^
Classic books in milk crates! I die.
Antique gilded mirrors piled along booths... I die.
Old cameras and beautiful costume jewelry... I die.
How did you NOT want to snap up everything you laid your eyes on? I guess weight regulations for flight had something to do with it. But what an amazing sight~!
