London Day Two

On my second official day in London I did an awful lot of walking...I spent the majority of my day in the Westminster area. Which was a crowd of diverse tourists, stoic guards on horses, and other things you might predict seeing in the UK. However, since I can hardly predict when I will be here next, all the usual spots must be visited. Westminster Abbey was as gorgeous as predicted and the National Portrait Gallery was really extensive, although both places frown upon picture-taking...

After all my tourist-y business I met up with Susie from Style Bubble (I've been reading her blog for longer than I've been blogging). We had a really nice talk over some cider at a pub; it was definitely a real pleasure to meet her.

Outfit details:
Built by Wendy dress
UO belt
H&M shoes

How you can spend an entire day walking in those flimsy shoes is beyond me- I love flats but those thin soles of theirs always make my poor feet ache. I admire your courageous feet!

Ah Beak Street, very near my office! Reminds me I haven't given you my insider tips - if you haven't planned the rest of your time in London yet, I'd recommend:
- the V&A
- Borough Market if you like food (open Thurs/Fri/Sat, and a nice walk along the river from Tate Modern)
- a day trip to Brighton (very cute beach town an hour train ride from London with great shops in the Lanes area and amazing photos guaranteed!)
- Sir John Soanes museum
- Horrockses Exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum (location of a blogger meet-up yesterday)
Erm... that's all for now. Have a great time!

I feel like I need to do my hair like that tomorrow. You look so adorable!! Perhaps there's a tutorial for it, I'll have a look through your archives.

Susie's outfit looks quite pared down, no? I guess I just assume that she wears 10+ items of clothing all the time, haha! Amazing outfit though!

awesome awesome pictures. London looks stunning. I went when I was 6 but I sadly don't remember anything except that we had white toast for breakfast everymorning at our hotel which was pretty exciting for me because my mom always bought whole wheat bread.

That's so cool that you got to meet Susie. I find it so interesting when internet friends meet.

Your photography is beautiful! You and Susie both look gorgeous. Enjoy your trip and thank you for posting while you're away... I'd really miss you if you didn't!

Visit Portobello Rd. No need to wait for market days (Friday is best) there are some interesting shops near the railway bridge. Don't stop at the Spanish school though-walk up to Golbourne Rd. You will not regret it! Turn right and meander towards Trellick Tower-cross the bridge there and go left at the round- about to visit a couple of GREAT vintage shops. Then head back the way you came and have an excellent Pimms at my local-'The Fat Badger'!! xx
