Awhile ago I received a gift card from Tobi and then spent endless hours debating what to purchase from the store. There were just too many wonderful options that I hadn't really considered before. Then I spied this dress by Sonia Rykiel in the sale section and was rather swept away; so swept away that I actually spent some of my own money in addition to the gift card in order to get my hands on it! The cupid print was just too wonderful and the cut reminded me of the all fashion plates from the 1930s I'd been eyeing. It isn't a direct interpretation of that fashion decade, but it still has a similar feel to. I love the shape of the sleeves and the slightly longer more elegant length.
I've noticed lately that I have this crazy collection of teal pieces. Like these flats, my teal purse, a skirt, a coat, a vintage bow, and nail polish. Every piece I just listed was bought in a different store and months from the other purchases and yet they are all nearly the exact same shape. Apparently, I have a mini, somewhat subconscious obsession going on.

Wow, that is a sweet dress. It's great how the perfect fabric can make a dress really special. That's why I love working with vintage fabric.
What a sweet little dress! I can tell where you see the 30s influence because I see it too! (love the pops of teal, your subconscious style decisions are just as awesome as your conscious!)

Absolutely gorgeous, love! I love the new location too ;). Your hair is looking very vibrant now days!
The print on this dress is so fun and whimsical... and I love all the teal accents. I have two different teal purses that are that same exact shade you're showing here... I tend to pair them with purple, probably far too often. Obsessed much?
that dress is adorable Rebbecca! It suits you perfectly.
Wow, that Sonia Rykiel dress really does resemble a 30s novelty print! Amazingly cute.
Amazing dress and very nice hairdo.

Hello Hello (:
Just love that dress, is soooo adorable :)
I have a question for you, hope you help me. I have brown hair and I tried to be a ginger but now I've a brown hair that looks red just in the sun. But I want to be ginger in the shadow too :D
So my question is if you are a natural red hair or if you just changed your natural color. If yes...can you tell me how you did it? because your color is just the one I want, it's PERFECT!!
Oh, I'm Daniela. I just follow you for a fewdays but I just can say your blog is AMAZING. :D
I'll put you on my favourites.

You look so sweet and a little bit like a girl out of the golden 20s maybe because of your hair do today or the classic shape of the dress. The print is very funny.
