Books In The Running Brooks, Sermons In The Stones

the clothes horse, the clothes horse dress, personal style, fashion blog, retro, vintage, maroon tights, maroon booties, heeled booties, handknit scarf, cowl
As moody as the weather has been here lately, I am enjoying every excuse to spend time outside...as long as it isn't raining on me. There's something quite soothing about the great outdoors. Although it has been mildly stressful for me lately as I seem to have applied some animal attracting musk I was not aware of. Snakes, deer, and a wolf have all crossed my path recently...These are all animals I would prefer to keep a greater distance from and it is unpleasant to encounter them when you are alone and possibly out of cell phone range--the mind races. Sometimes I do wish wilderness was a little less wild.

That is a gorgeous outfit (:
And I have a weird obsession with wolves at the moment, although I haven't come into contact with any!

I love the color combination of this outfit, especially the tights!

You're very lucky to have spent time with frightening animals...Perhaps one day you can catch them on camera for us...without the flash, of course! I'd love to see some outfit photos of you with little squirrels dancing around!

Well I love seeing you wear it! It's The Clothes Horse dress after all. (:

And. I would just die if I came across a snake. Seriously, I'd just drop on the ground.

i love the shape of that dress, it is really quite unique!

Yeeesh... and I was just mortified to come across some bugs while taking pictures one time! I'm fairly sure that in your position, my mind would race through all the Gary Paulsen survival books that I haven't read.

I really like the whole silhouette of your outfit, but just how cool is it in the Northwest that you can wear a thick scarf and tights?? Goodness.

I love your rings!

wow it must be chilly in WA if you're wearing that gorgeous scarf in June! However, I tend to find dressing in the summer a bit boring because you can't layer as much due to the absurd heat, so I am a little jealous that you still get to pop on scarfs and tights from time to time this summer

I love the way the tights seem to blend in with the booties. And that dress looks so wonderful on you, love how you still manage to wear it in so many different styles, all while looking gorgeous!

Very pretty! That dress is perfection for your namesake.

My recent adventures have been a little more wild than expected lately as well. Mostly with bugs though - I am way more scared of the bugs than the larger animals.

You saw a wolf!? That is so cool, but also very scary I would imagine.
Love the dress!

Don't you love how the weather can't seem to decide whether it's fall or summer?

I always find it funny when people have to wear scarves in summer, but again, the magic where you live doesn't happen without a bit of clouds.

I actually only just bought some maroon tights that shade the other week and I am in love with them. It's such a nice colour.

Wild animals can be quite scary, Although the wildest thing I've come across where I'm living now is a Koala, and theyre too cute to be scary.

A wolf?? Oh my. What did you do when you saw a wolf? I'm curious. Haha

I would wear that dress a lot too! I kind of like the cold northwest weather, though -- you can layer almost all year round! And speaking of layers, I love your scarf here. So cozy and feminine.

The cream scarf on dark colored dress is the perfect outfit and it looks quite funky as well. The shape of the sleeve is very nice and the color of tight is also nice.
