In A Garden Of Whimsy

the clothes horse, garden of whimsy, flower crown, fae wreath, black dress, vintage, retro, fairy, fashion, style, daily outfit, red head, cynthia rowley tights, heeled clogs
Initially, I was going to dress to match my lovely fae wreath (tangent on how much I love the word fae); something flowy and summery. However, since it isn't summer yet and I still have to have a good jacket on hand to step outdoors, I decided a sharper silhouette and darker palette could be a nice contrast to the crown. Another beautiful contrast is the surrealist setting of this concrete staircase in the middle of nowhere. It must have belonged to house once, but the foundations aren't even remotely visible. Now the stairs stand alone amongst the piling leaves and growing green things.

The clogs and pattern on the tights are beautiful. Love how the color and styling of your hair and the headband compliment the simple black dress. Lovely as always...

Very pretty! The black is a nice contrast to the fae wreath. Kind of like the season right now - everything sort of half dead/half alive.

Super jealous that those Cynthia Rowley tights arrived already for you! I ordered mine a month ago and it says they will arrive sometime next week... I am dying of impatience over here!

I love those tights! Amazing. I also saw Lucky magazine suggesting mules likes those. The studs make them extra special though. Hope you're doing well! I need to get back into blogging!

I'm in love with this post! The tights, the shoes, the black velvet, the crown. Lovely. You should curl your hair like that more often. Makes you look like a princess.

Oh, I would never have thought of wearing a black outfit with the fae wreath (I would have been more inclined to wear a floral or something more summery, like you said) but it works great! You look like a character from a storybook... I'm not sure why. Like, 'The Red-Haired Girl and the Stairs To Nowhere'. Ha ha, kind of a fun title.

I like how you curled the ends of your hair, also. I think it would be really fun for you to make a blog post about what make-up you use AND what hair products you use! Just sayin'! I bet a lot of people would be curious. :]

Oh, and I think Fae would make a really cute name for a girl!

Aw, it's a beautiful outfit Rebecca! And I love the staircase to nowhere. In college, there was a bridge to nowhere, and every now and then I see a tiny door to nowhere. I always wonder, what if it took us to an alternate world...

Your hair is stunning! And the tights, and the dress, and the wreath and everything. You do seem to own some beautiful nail polishes, by the way, and I always wonder which one it is. Perhaps you could start listing the polish together with the rest of the outfit? I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it :)

These photos make you look like a wood fairy. With your crown of wildflowers, fiery haoir and simple dress.

We seem to be on the very same page about tights. I though your other Cynthia Rowley tights is the only one we have in common. But it seems this one too. It's looks quite different when you wear it backwards. :)
