If there was one word I would not use to describe my style it is preppy (also androgynous). To be completely honest, the world of pastel polos and khaki pants kills my soul a bit. Yet, the style of this American Beauty Rose dress struck me as classic American prepster, but hopefully with a bit of a twist. Maybe it is just the red and navy combination that always makes me feel (unintentionally) patriotic.

The strong red and blues of this outfit really pop! it's completely opposite of the typical pastel prep that you've mentioned for sure. Yet I think my favorite photo out of these has to be the one where you show your wing tattoos. So sweet. :)

There is definitely a patriotic vibe to this outfit, which I must say is very you! The dress is incredibly pretty and so are your vibrant red lips. :D
I love all the colours. Sure it looks patriotic, but at least its unintentional and still looks smashing =)
The dress is awesome, and the zipper is just so darn adorable! Ah the flats you own are so cool, thats like your USP, thats the reason I come back to your site again and again, to look at your shoes
I wouldn't describe your style as preppy either (nor mine!) but this jacket looks perfect on you - The blues and reds compliment each other so well.
arrgh yet another adorable dress!!! Love the strapless look - shows off your tattoos and looks so pretty!!!! xxx
LOVE this. Totally passed by this dress when I saw it on the site but now I'm going to take another look at it. Awesome.

I love the zipper on the dress! It gives a simple piece a new edge. Very neat =]
I love the airplane pin- style is in the details, afterall :)
i think the blazer looks great with your dress. the red stripe is so cool!
Beautiful look Rebecca.
Although, I have to disagree about preppy looks being pastel polos and khakis. I love the classic American preppy look and channel it from many different eras, such as the 1920's, 1950's and the 1980's. Definitely different looks from each time, but all still preppy.

I love you in that dress. I have yet to label my own style maybe because I lack so much to say I even have one. But I also love how you did your hair and nails.
I love Ur whole look, Rebecca!
I love that little airplane pin and your shoes!
Love the pops of red here, especially with your nail polish!
you look gorgeous.
and I love that airplane pin.

ooh! i must have those adorable flats! :)
I don't know if it's preppy, but it's definitely americana, which is one of my fave trends this year. Always so classic and polished, and this is no exception!
absolutely beautiful!!! those flats are amazing! :D

adore the blazer and your red nails!
The blazer and shoes are just too perfect!

Love the chambray dress! So cute on you ;)

Hope you are ok Rebecca.

Style evolves and changes all the time in one person, I used to be quite prep too, I love it! I think you have great style - look at how many girls you inspire!
i don't think your version of preppy could ever be stale!
This outfit seems more "clean" than preppy, it really fits together, especially since nothing is competing with the red zipper. Also, all your details make it completely "you." I love that dress, and think it could work in a 1,000 ways!

This is great -- it's your own twist on a bit of a preppy style, but making it original. I'm sorry I've been so absent from the comment board, but I do visit so that I can feel inspired by your outfits and photos. I love how you're always changing your nail colors. I stopped painting my nails as they get chipped either cooking or digging around in the garden, but you always inspire me to at least paint my toenails, even if no one can see them until sandal weather comes around!
My favorite thing about the way you dress is there's always something really interesting and unique about how you style every outfit. For example, I probably wouldn't have thought about pairing the shoes with the blazer & dress, but it's what makes it so quirky & adorable! Works perfectly.
Love the outfit - that red zipper detail on the dress matched with your nails and lips is just perfect. And I don't think I'd use the word preppy - but it IS a tad nautical, maybe? Those two might be synonyms these days...
Do you have a striped sweater to wear over/under the dress? I'd like to see that combo (just a thought, not a demand *grin*). Beautiful photos, as always!
I love it! Especially the exposed zipper and the amazing flats! I always get scared of preppy looks though, especially because some people can rock it so hard, like Erin from Calivintage. But I also secretly think you can rock any look! I love it when your outfits are tattoo baring :)

i adore your shoes.. and the airplane pin detail is perfect.
Ton tattoo est trop beau ! J'adore !

I'm in love with this outfit. From your hair, which looks so fantastic, to your shoes which are so so great, a little quirky touch.
Great outfit, it does have a prepster vibe, but just so much better than full on preppy.
This is a classic look with a twist. You do things like that so well.
i love every piece of this outfit! :] you hair looks wonderful too!
Oh my. There's is something--I don't know what--that I absolutely adore about a bright red zipper, especially when it stands out like this! I love the shoes, too! :)

I think your style is amazing, that is how I would describe it. I don't know how you manage to please so many different people that are interested in completely different styles. But most importantly you please yourself.
I love the blazer with the little aeroplane badge. It's so adorable.
I would never have imagined you describing your style as androgynous - I don't think I've ever seen you in trousers! :P
everything about your outfit is amazing! :)
This dress looks lovely on you, but I'm mostly loving those adorable shoes!
I absolutely love your dress. I think it's one of my favorite of your outfits. The blazer is very classy and the shoes have a certain element of whimsy that works really well.
Lovely as always :)
Dress Rehearsal
Hi, Rebecca!
I just had to comment because I absolutly love this outfit on you! You're right, it is a bit different from your usual style--more preppy, but you pull it off and it looks amazing! :D I especially the navy blazer, and the picture of your tattoos, which are super pretty as well.
Keep up the awesome posts! :D
