As The Wind Laughs In My Face
My mother volunteers at a local thrift shop and tends to get "first pick" of donated items which usually leads to her bringing home gaudy cupid lamps (of which I wholeheartedly approve and plan to steal someday). Usually, she doesn't really have any input in my wardrobe and doesn't buy me clothes, but I'm thrilled that she didn't pass on this velvet vested beauty and brought it home (for a mere $1, I might add). It is just absolutely amazing and so intricate; each color is a seperate piece of fabric. It would look great worn open, but it is rather too large on me to be worn as a vest. I pinned it with safety pins into a dress and kept it on the loose side for a mod shape.

Oh wow. That vest is... I don't even have words for how great it is and even more so as a dress. Everything about that outfit is perfect - the necklace, heels and tights are the perfect accents. It's like that vest was seeking it's perfect owner!

What a wonderful one dollar find - thrift shops in the USA have some real gems. The UK doesn't have half as good items as these. Such a unique dress too, & you wear it well.
