As Soon As Go Kindle Fire With Snow

Packing for New York was a bit of a nightmare, especially for people who have issues packing in general. I only knew one outfit head-to-toe that I wanted to wear while there and this is it. I was a little nervous about bringing heels to a city being blanketed with snow and daring to wear a cape in a frigid climate. Thankfully, New York clears snow like no other place that I have ever lived and my cape from Twitchvintage is amazingly cozy--like wearing a quaint blanket around all day. I would wear this cape nearly every day, but I fear that reptition kills the joy in things. Clearly, I am being overtaken with neutrals and yet it is my favorite outfit in months. I feel a lot more vintage hunting coming on...
A big thank you to Erin for taking these pictures for me and letting me borrow her gloves.

That dress is so cute! And wow, you are SO brave for wearing that in NYC. During the winter, I never left the apartment in less than a long down coat--but I am also a bit of a wuss when it comes to the cold haha!

Packing for a trip is always a challenge for me as well. I usually start with my socks: how many pair will I need? And, then build from there. I either under-pack or over-pack, but never get it 'just right'.

As for the photos in this post, is the feather fascinator you're wearing the piece that you referred in our interview as "your favorite vintage" item (http://www.beso.com/blog/interview-rebecca-stice-the-clothes-horse/)

Kasia said...

I've been dreaming of such a blankety warmer for such a long time... But I still think the dress is WAY more interesting than the cape in this post :) It's just wonderful.

amazing amazing outfit! you look wonderful.

With the schizophrenic weather LA has been having (ie: hot, cold, or rainy. hot, cold or rainy.) I've been able to rock my two capes a bit as well. I'm afraid this one blows mine away though!

Fabulous head dress. And the white dress is so pretty and romantic – love it all!

I love that cape. This whole outfit is awesome. The last photo is amazing. I just love the ivory dress with the black. Beautiful.

Also, I don't know if I find repetition kills the joy in an outfit. I never really thought about it before. This shall be my new musing for the week!

Oh-my-goodness--this is, by far, my favorite outfit of yours. Ever. And I've seen quite a few! I have red hair, too, and I like seeing your color choices and the way they work in conjunction with the hair color. I really think having red hair is like having a whole new article of clothing to consider in an outfit...or maybe all hair is like that.

Anyway, I just began a fashion blog and I'm trying to find my footing in this giant blog universe! If you get a chance, check out:

You are the QUEEN of head wear. Is there a higher status? Goddess of headwear? No, Queen sounds better. I think one of the most interesting things about meeting everyone at the conference was to discover how shy we all are. What Irony. I am not sure if its the case with you, but I blog because I am socially awkward and it allows me opportunities to meet people and be social on specific, safe terms. I wish I had at least shared 5 words with you while in the same room. I guess a little smile and a wave says just as much sometimes though. In any case, it was so nice to meet you. I am sure you are just a sweet as you seem.
