Anglomania

This Libertine collection is nothing new, but it is a big inspiration to me at the moment. I really enjoy the screen printed visages of Queen Elizabeth on classics like trench coats. Preppy meets punky and homespun details make matching sets seem less stuffy.

Love the bottom right dress so much!

Those coats with the floral appliques would be such a great DIY! And I'm sure with your drawing skills you could also recreate the portrait on a tee shirt or trench coat.

Wowy! I love the book suit and the blue coat with the rosette tree on it. You're right, the details make these almost stuffy outfits seem very playful and homespun. Great word, by the way.

I love the multi-color blazer! It is so fantastic. I have always loved Libertine. When they did the Go International line for Target, I bought most of it up.

The giant crazy fur wrap is both outrageous and brilliant. Hail Brittania. Although it's a bit Dr. Zhivago as well!

Utterly charming. I love the look of the random silkscreen on the clothing. Here in Sacramento, we have a local designer who does her own version of it, and it's great. The label is called Pretty Trashy. I'm trying my own version but more hands on, literally. Using my hands, to "hand paint" fabric. So far, so good. http://www.thecitizenrosebud.com
