Haha what an amazing idea! My boyfriend would never agree to it... I'd really have to weigh up which meant more to me, polka dots or him! Tough call! :) x
You'd have to have all the patience in the world to make it look good. But afterwards, you'd be more than satisfied if it looks like in the pictures! Adorable and amazing..
How cute is that?! :D I remember when I was little, I saw a bright pink and yellow house, and I wanted to live there! It was like something out of a cartoon! :D
What makes this house so great is the simplicity of the shape - if it had more gables or additions, polka dots would looks ridiculous. Instead, the polka dots are perfection.
This is just too sweet for words! I think I'd have two sizes polka dotted and the other two striped! Of course I will be living in a perfectly square house just like a child's drawing ;)
Huzzah! I absolutely refuse to to entertain the idea of owning a normally painted house. I'm thinking bright purple with electric blue trim, but polka dots are a good alternative.
do you know yayoi kastuma's work? i went to an exhibition of hers recently and she had painted colored polka dots all over the external gallery walls. it was amazing. check it: http://www.yayoi-kusama.jp/e/biography/index.html
awww this is so cute! i can totally picture you in a cute little house in the country, where you can continue taking gorgeous photos of your lovely outfits (:
Ever hear of the Heidelberg Project in Detroit? That is what this reminds me of. It's a whole block of crazy houses. Some with polka dots, some with stuffed animals, some with dolls, etc. Most of the houses were torn down, but there are still quite a few standing.
hahahahha wow i cant believe it. and thats so awesome that you want this instead of the typical suburban home with a white picket fence. hooray for being not boring!!
polka dot house is SOOO CUTE ! id love to have my first one like one of those houses in the Grinch. :D id love my kids to have those funny n cute hairstyles as well..
Search for some images from the Hiedelberg Project in Detroit, MI. It was a multi-block installation that takes the dotty-house theme to another level entirely. Most of it has been torn down in the last 10 years, but driving around Detroit you will always see dots painted on buildings in tribute.
I fully support this mission!! I can't wait to see how you would incorporate this into your own residence--interior and exterior--should you move into one soon--or however long this blog lives!! (You know I'll be a reader for life if you blog for life. LOL)
