Rose Red

"Snow-white was more quiet and gentle than Rose-red. Rose-red liked better to run about in the meadows and fields seeking flowers and catching butterflies; but Snow-white sat at home with her mother, and helped her with her housework, or read to her when there was nothing to do."

Sultry delicious! the last photo reminds me of Jessica Rabbit, haha.

I frequently forget that there's another to the Snow White story. I like the juxtaposition. :)

Snow White and Rose Red is such a good story. My parents have an illustrated version, and the girls are well-dressed, too!

snow White and Rose Red was one of my favorite stories growing up, even though I only ever got it out of the library. Copies are now incredibly scarce, especially because I am such an illustration junkie. Your post made my night!

I always felt that they were more interesting as a pair.

I keep feeling as though she should be posing with a rabbit, but I can't for the life of me figure out why!

Wow such a stunning set of photos! I love the contrast of her blue eyes against the red hair on the third photo.

Her face is perfection.

Photos like this sometimes make me wish I were white. It's a terrible thought, isn't it?
