I tend to avoid talking about the process of taking my pictures, because the tripod, self-timer, and difficulty involved, tends to take the romanticism out of the final product. However, I have to say: this set has been one of the most difficult and most rewarding so far. I literally had to climb this tree in ten seconds and more than a dozen times. Needless to say, there were many images of me awkwardly mid-climb with my butt up in the air...

I wouldn't have the patience for that! But the result was totally worth it, the images are beautiful and romantic. It must be the light bt your hair looks even more red than usual, its gorgeous!
These really are wondeful photos,and I love that dress. I understand what you mean,I've often tried to climb trees ect in 10 seconds to get a good photo.I didn't use to have a tripod,so I had many problems with balancing my camera too!

HAHA I can just imagine you trying to scramble up a tree before the timer is finished! I would have snagged my tights all over the place and there would be lots of photos of me looking all madfaced.

You've got to get yourself a remote! Even if you don't want to have it in your hand in the photos, some cameras have a 2 second remote setting so that the shutter doesn't go off until two seconds after you push the button on the remote, giving you some time to hide it in a pocket or something.

These photos are beautiful, and they are certainly worth the effort. Do you shoot with an SLR? If you do, you should get a wireless remote. I do that with my outfit shots now, and it makes things so much easier.
I love that Frost poem!!!! I want to own everything you are wearing in your photos, including the photos!!! they are great and you look AMAZING in them.
You should definitely get a remote!! It will allow you to be much more comfortable and creative because you won't have to deal with all the running and messed up shots! They're so inexpensive, it's totally worth it. I just got one and LOVEEEEE it.

Since I've started working with the self-timer I realize how terribly difficult it is. These pictures are beautiful.
Yes, it is funny to think of you setting up the camera, running over the tree, trying to sit gracefully while not ruining your lovely outfit. But you are right that it is so worth it. I imagine you have to take many pictures, though using a delay (which I am sure you do) will cut out some of those. :L)

I only very recently (read: this week) started photographing my outfits for posterity. And even in the small, controlable confines of my apartment it's still a challenge, fun but occasionally frustrating. I can only imagine what it was like trying to scramble up a tree!
However, once again, you've inspired me. I might just have to go exploring outside soon...

It does take a lot of practice that I have never learned to perfect. I don't even know how you manage to walk around with a tripod without feeling awkward, and yet you make your (as you said) romantic magic happen.
It really is magic, the way you photograph. Everything looks so perfectly story-boarded, it makes me envious. I do the best I can in the house I have, because tis much too cold to go outside, and there's the added bit that I have never surmounted the awkwardness and embarrassment that comes with taking photos in an urban environment for the sake of a blog... I have never gotten over the the idea of risking it, so I doubt I will ever get the bravery... I am much too old now, I suppose (I know I look young. I'm not. I'll be 28 in a few months.)
Anyway, you still make the magic happen, and I'm grateful for it. You're my little fashion faerie, enchanting my eyes from your mystical woods and meadows, in faraway, magical, happy lands.

Holy smokes, I cannot believe you manage to get such amazing shots using a self timer! If your camera isn't compatible with a wireless remote, you might see if it has a setting on the self timer where it'll shoot several frames in succession -- at least that way you'll several tries for every time you have to hit the button and make a run for it!
