Fairy Tales Are True...

Once upon a time, the Spring 2008 collections came out and Rodarte sent tulle dresses floating down the runway. A little while before that there was an epic film starring Faye Dunaway that swept all who watched into a golden world of crime and passion. While the style of the latter could be imitated, clothes of the former were sadly out of reach...and then came Target. An unconventional fairy godmother to be certain, but the type of modern benefactress girls on a budget depend upon.
For this particular little cinder-girl, Chictopia also played a role. It seems that some fashion fairy tales can come true...I'll keep my fingers crossed for those spiked Christian Louboutins for Rodarte.

I just saw the Rodarte for Target collection the other day - I love it! There is one dress in particular - it's similar to yours, but it's light blue. I'm in love with it. I just may have to use my Christmas money, but I do so want a pro-Flickr account as well! Oh the troubles of deciding. :(

Anyway, I'm procrastinating on my writing, which I really do need to start. Before I leave, however, I wanted to thank you for the comment you left on my blog. I always enjoy getting comments!

Have a good day!

I got the black one. I think I might take off the bows on the shoulders though, they look a bit wonky on me. I'm thinking of putting snaps on them so I can reattach them whenever I want. The nude color looks wonderful on you! Very fairylike indeed!

Oh, this dress looks so perfect for you and in this color, especially. I went with the black Rodarte slip dress just 'cause it's a safe color for me and although I thought the nude color was great, I didn't think I could pull it off! You, however, look lovely. Hope you had a good holiday!
