No matter how many street fashion sites I stumble across, I always return regularly to
Dropsnap. Perhaps it is because my first introduction to "fashion" was Japanese street fashion which I became obsessed with in Junior High, or perhaps it is because this site doesn't prescribe to a specific style tribe. I like how a very wide and eclectic ranges of fashion is photographed: vintage, harajuku, gothic lolita, etc. Every pictured seems to be the definition of
personal style. Here are a few of my recent favorites.

Fruits is one of my fashion bibles and Japanese fashion has always intrigued/excited/inspired me. Their fearlessness and imagination towards fashion and dressing is to be admired

Love these photos! I love Japanese street fashion, too, leftover from a childhood love of anime and manga (tee hee). These outfits are so adorable. Thank you for sharing this site! :) And thanks for the birthday wishes!
I love this site! it really makes me want to go to Japan. There isnt one day that I look at this and my jaw doesnt drop from the amazing things I see. They have a whole different element of style that I cant even begin to unravel.
wow it realy looks nice! i'm going to start going there. i love fashion sense in japan though. they're the best and most unique =D plus their magazines are full of clothesss clothes
Totally understand why you'd keep going back there. I find myself looking towards my Japanese profs/TAs for style inspiration here in this dismally unfashionable college campus I call home for the majority of the year.
I love the skirts and fur accessories. Really lovely textures.
OMG!I love all those looks! They are such a great mix of clothes and styles. I haad never seen this site, but I will very frecuntly in the future!Thank you for sharing!!

I really want to visit Japan just to look at the girls dressed so quirky but yet so fabulous! I want the clothes too. So much experimentation and fun going on, I wish I was that adventurous!
Man, I have countless Japanese fashion mags just sitting on my shelves waiting to be reflipped through. I absolutely adore Japanese street fashion! Their sense of style can be such a mish-mash, and yet they are able to still pull together the entire outfit.
Ooh I have to check this site out. I really like the first one.
WOW. I love dropsnap but I have no patience for its super-long loading time. So thanks for posting these! I LOVE those girl's humongous mary-janes.
I hadn't heard of this site, but I'm loving what I'm seeing...off to check it out!

Ooh! Am SO SO SO excited! Booked my tickets to Japan for December/xmas (will be my first visit, can't wait). Can't believe there's a mag called Lassie (1st pic), will have to find a copy (that's my sister's nickname, haha). Can't wait to see this amazing japanese fashion in person :) Any recommendations for Tokyo/Kyoto/anywhere else?

i LOVE girl #4, awesome outfit.....and i guess fur is hot in japan street fashion? kinda morbid how the lil fox legs just hang there.
thanks for reminding me again, love that site but cannot view it on google reader so I forget.
These are really cool. I've never checked out Dropsnap before.
omg i loveee that jeremy scott skirt on that last girl, only lady gaga and japanese girls can pull that off!!

<3 The Voguette
They are all wearing the most amazing shoes! Thanks for sharing :)
Some very cool combos there...but, what's with the carcases? Sorry, but fur ain't sexy.
i love the pairing of the pixie like second outfit with the plant shop.

Great fashion in those photos.
What is your favourite style era?
and if you could style a vogue
Who would be on it and whose fashions would you feature?
Ahhh, that's why I love Japan, you can walk the streets of Tokyo and see whatever kind of style everywhere!
I think they're always one step ahead when it comes to fashion!
My favourites are the first three.. ♥

i love love seeing harajuku style. they could express their fashion freely. one thing that i couldn't do in my own country :( *sob
^^
I can imagine you in every one of these outfits! love them all.
japanese street style is adorable and inspiring !
Japanese street style, I love you.
I love japanese fashion. They wear whatever they want, and they like it. The mix this anime crazines with designers, with local street tribus and with they personality. They are an inspiration for me since ever.
I completely agree, I love dropsnap and there is nothing like Japanese street fashion!
These japanese girls are so stylish , just love it !
You 've got a nice blog !
talia

japanese street fashion has always inspired me on a certain level. while i'm certainly not quite as brave in my dressing as some of our neighbors to the east, seeing such unabashed creativity in their clothes is something i definitely respect.
xoxo
Some fantastic looks L.O.V.E the first Photo ;)
Love Tokyo x-x-x
http://theguiltyhyena.blogspot.com
aww, your header looks great liek those asian girls...
The Japanese and the Sweds are dead-serious when it comes to fashion. Where we in America will do it for an event or photo shoot, they are doing it every bloody day. I applaud them because I treasure my feet and knees too much to walk around in 6in nightmares everyday.
I think those girls are amazing! A true definition of personal style, I agree! Very daring and original too! xoxoxxo
LOVE the flapper-esque looks of that first girl.
x0x0 Lusty
i am so smitten by the first girl. i wonder how old she is because she looks very young, i hope she is, because that would make her style even more chic and cool beyond her age.
I cannot wrap my head around the question of where these amazing people find their inspiration. Just, fascinating and inspiring!
I am crazy over your shoes! I think I may have already told you that and I will continue to!!!!! awsome color combination! super fab!
love how she puts things together x
oh my gosh i am bookmarking this site right now! i love it! i have always felt it was a great injustice that i was not somehow born in japan, where i would have this inherent sense of very colorful, kooky style. so this site is a good way to live vicariously. i'm dying over the yellow mouse skirt in that last pic! ~joelle
I love number 3, 4 and 5...Beautiful, inspiring, creative...
I just love them.
I'm a vintage collector and would love you to have a look at my collections ...

so awesome! i can't wait to check out the site.
haha. interesting styles.
though i don't like how some of them have a dead thing hanging around their shoulders.
Very personal style. I love the second outfit the most. There's something cool about her...and I love the warm color palette.
Thanks for sharing the siteee.
exactly (about the whole mixing different styles thing). i really like the second to last one, with the military jacket and red booties...
woow these photos are amazing.. good inspiration!
bisous
HEART ur post!!:)

I love how "out there" some of these are. They don't seemed reined in at all and you're definitely right about them getting at personal style as opposed to mindless trends.
Definitely one of my favorites too :-)
Love how Japan is so accepting to different styles. How I wish I could walk in town with something different without stares. :P
Thankyou so much for this site, I love Tokyo street style :) the last picture is awesome xxx
