Dropsnap Does It Better

No matter how many street fashion sites I stumble across, I always return regularly to Dropsnap. Perhaps it is because my first introduction to "fashion" was Japanese street fashion which I became obsessed with in Junior High, or perhaps it is because this site doesn't prescribe to a specific style tribe. I like how a very wide and eclectic ranges of fashion is photographed: vintage, harajuku, gothic lolita, etc. Every pictured seems to be the definition of personal style. Here are a few of my recent favorites.

wow it realy looks nice! i'm going to start going there. i love fashion sense in japan though. they're the best and most unique =D plus their magazines are full of clothesss clothes

Caroline said...

Totally understand why you'd keep going back there. I find myself looking towards my Japanese profs/TAs for style inspiration here in this dismally unfashionable college campus I call home for the majority of the year.

Man, I have countless Japanese fashion mags just sitting on my shelves waiting to be reflipped through. I absolutely adore Japanese street fashion! Their sense of style can be such a mish-mash, and yet they are able to still pull together the entire outfit.

japanese street fashion has always inspired me on a certain level. while i'm certainly not quite as brave in my dressing as some of our neighbors to the east, seeing such unabashed creativity in their clothes is something i definitely respect.

The Japanese and the Sweds are dead-serious when it comes to fashion. Where we in America will do it for an event or photo shoot, they are doing it every bloody day. I applaud them because I treasure my feet and knees too much to walk around in 6in nightmares everyday.

oh my gosh i am bookmarking this site right now! i love it! i have always felt it was a great injustice that i was not somehow born in japan, where i would have this inherent sense of very colorful, kooky style. so this site is a good way to live vicariously. i'm dying over the yellow mouse skirt in that last pic! ~joelle
