Down South

I am in balmy Atlanta, GA right now and enjoying the weather, but not the mosquitoes. It is very humid, but a pleasant break from the fall we were beginning to experience in Washington State (I don't like cold temperatures). I've been dressing very simply and my sister has been kind enough to snap a few outfit shots for me.

Outfit details: dress- H&M, bow belt- self made, shoes- secondhand, necklace- Talonalia

Outfit details: dress- swap with Keiko Lynn, shoes- Urban Outfitters, necklace- Yellowstone National park gift shop

The dress you got in the swap is absolutely stunning. I'm not sure I would have been able to give it up.

i adore both looks on you. you have a way of making everything look so good! i know i've told you before but i'm gonna tell you again, i love your diy bow belt. the material and size are just perfect.

Your white and pink floral dress is really lovely, it reminds me of my favorite movie "Sense and Sensibility". It has a Victorian feel to it. I was wondering why didn't you wear a pair of white or silver ballerina shoes with it. Oh, I think it would go well with white tights.

hahahaha i loved that last bit, so true and funny. maybe its cause you do live in washington but considering how i am living in la, i barely get to experience cold weather so i LOVE IT!! but yeah wearing dresses and whatnot is better and cuter! hehe

@Anonymous 10:29; well, I don't own white ballet shoes or plain silver ones either. Also, I'm living out of suitcase for a week, so brown flats that go with everything were what I packed. And I also don't own white tights, but I don't think I would wear them with a white dress. Too Lolita for me.
@Anonymous 11:13 AM; it's from a newspaper article from the 90s. My sister found it in a library archive and copied it for me, but I don't know what paper or the exact year.

You look beautiful! Welcome to the South. I hope you enjoy your time here!

I love that second dress a lot!

I like the dress with the brown flats. I think they work well. Silver or white shoes would be "too much" or maybe too pretty. I don't know. Too something!

I have a pair of light brown flats I wear with everything. So I like to think brown flats go well with many things. (Mostly I wear them with everything because shoes never fit me--and they do).

I love the last dress, it's so sweet, especially the lace around the sleeves, collar, and hem.

I love fall and am a big fan of cool temperatures, but today I would have appreciated being transported down south! We had such a weird summer here that I didn't quite get my fill of the smothering heat. Haha, anyway, I think this green H&M dress looks adorable with your self made bow belt :)
