You are so amazing in all ways, check that out! you have a great eye for picking up pictures!!!! I love the 8th picture with the toys and books. the inner child meets the intellectual elder...
agreed. totally gorgeous. my bookshelf looks a lil empty at the moment as I'm going to uni tomorrow and all my books are in three crates. hmmnn...I have too many books. But I'm definitely taking inspiration from these pics when I set up my shelves at uni xxx
Ohh, books. If I could, I'd live in a house lined with them. I just moved, though, and could only bring with me a few of my favorites. Gotta start building up my collection again!
I thought these were all yours for a moment! Lovely pictures, much more organised and dust-free than my own shelves.. My dream house shall have a whole wall filled with books :)
i completely agree with you. nothing, nothing nothing nothing, is more beautiful than a book. i should know! i work in the most gorgeous bookstore ever - it's got wood-paneled walls and soft music playing at all times and often i just look up and around and think that i am in sheer heaven.
The Selby - that is such an amazing site! I usually go quite green with envy when I look at those anazing interiors there! I totally agree with you - the full bookcase is a thing of beauty!
I'm a big fan of books all over the place, too. A lot of books and their covers, all the colours piled together with their lovely typography--they make me happy.
We bought two wall-size bookshelves at Ikea and we lined an entire wall with all our books. The wall of books shows in the fireplace wall mirror, and it looks like we have a room of books. It's a spectacular sight.
I love these pictures so much! I adore books so much. It may sound strange but I just love arranging my books, these photos make me want to spruce up my bookshelves ;)
I really hope books never get superseded by technology. Given their mass following, I suspect they never will, though, haha. Shelves of pretty books are definitely among the best things in life.
Books books and so many books !! Ohhhh,I'm so ashamed. This makes me want to give my books a better place than just chucking them n boxes or on the floor.
I need to help them get a new home !! Really beautiful photos <3
you are so amazing! i love stalking your blog. it is filled with such cool pictures and beautifully written posts. anyone who reads it can know from off the back that you're such a smart lady and books play a big part in your life. so inspirational, cant wait to read your next post! :)
I think you'd love my shelves. Haha. I'm so full of myself but really my shelves double as curiosities shelves so they're pretty interesting. Not as dust-free as these, though, I'm ashamed to admit. *sigh*
That fourth one is amazing. And yay for the Polaroid Book! I really need some new shelves for my bedroom, there are books piling up against the wall that need a proper home. Hope you're having a beautiful weekend :)
I'm always slightly embarrassed at how many books I have...overflowing my bookshelves and stacked up against the walls. I even donate books and go to the public library as much as possible. Still, I always end up with more that are too precious to part with. It's comforting to see other bookworms out there :)
I love the hapazard look of books. Not perfectly lined up with worn spines and knick knacks lined up in front. My favorite is the one with the birdies on top, though all the pictures are gorgeous. -indigo
ey! it's me again.. sorry I can't see your email and my Outlook is not working properly. If you send me an email to "atelier2.55@hotmail.com" I'll email back you with the photo I mentioned before!
I couldn't agree more. I love perusing people's bookshelves, and bookstores for that matter, especially when there are pretty vintage books lined up on them a la these photos!
Aahhhh! I love to look at bookshelves- you can tell so much about the owner by the books, the pictures, the little decorations they choose to put up :0)
For a couple seconds I was oohing in my head about your book collection. I just got myself a new bookshelf last week for my growing book collection! If only I could make my books like as pretty as those... I just might.
Great pictures, I really like the last onen mixing book & shoes is fun ! I will only be visiting Tokyo, I don't think I will have time for other cities :)

This is why I will never buy a stupid Kindle. Books forever.
I can totally relate to that! My big IKEA Expedit is bursting with books and I still want more!

Bookshelfs are always so pretty, but I can never convince myself to buy a book when I can just borrow it from the library.
Books, bookshelves...they all make me so happy. My collection is growing and I'm looking forward to adding more bookshelves in my room.

For a couple seconds I was oohing in my head about your book collection. I just got myself a new bookshelf last week for my growing book collection! If only I could make my books like as pretty as those... I just might.
i love theselby.com, it's so cool to sneak about people, see where they live (and they really do have incredible houses sometimes)

oh yes, there really is something wonderful about a full shelf of books! The porcelain dolls make them look extra charming too.
I've known books before I know fashion and seriously, these pics are awesome! I can spend my day without getting bored in room full of books!
I agree!
