Description of Passengers: One Travelling Circus and Staff

My Family and Other Animals is a simply brilliant film (introduced to me and my family, by my sister who always finds the best films). It is based on an autobiography by naturalist Gerald Durrell and strives to capture his eccentric family's adventures in Corfu, Greece. Their activities tend to be charming, hilarious, and the setting is blissfully dreamy. It was perfect escapism to re-watch recently for the feeling of an endless, golden summer as cooler weather creeps up on us in the Northern Hemisphere...

If the frame shots are anything to go by, it looks super charming. Love the boy with the turtle.

I haven't seen the film, but I've read the book and that was brilliant indeed.

I also wanted to say that I really admire your style. I'm trying to wear more colors now. (I have been following your blog for a year and finally had the courage to comment...)

I don't actually undestand all the hype about tavi, I'm actually about the same age give or take a year and i don't think her cynicalness is that original, nearly everyone my age is cynical. And sometimes I feel like she dresses to impress every blogger ten years older than her, not herself, Though I do respect the popularity she has recieved and who she is lucky enough to meet.

Oh, I love that book. I suggested that my mom read it, and now it's one of her favorite books. (She read it over the Summer, and she would read her favorite parts to me aloud.) He wrote another book that is just as good, Birds, Beasts, and other Relatives. (At least I think that's the title.) If you get a chance, read the book. It is so good!

As a child I read Gerald Durrells books over and over again.

I can't believe I've gone this long without realising there was a film attached to one of them...

I also adore the film, and the book. I'm actually reading "Marrying Off Mother and Other Stories" by G. Durrell at the moment. What a great writer he was, indeed.

The soundtrack of "My Family and Other Animals" is so cripping.
