Through a random sequence of events I have found myself the possessor of two Ship Shape Totes by Dear Creatures from Modcloth. I'm a big fan of tote bags since I never seem able to leave the house without wanting to carry all my essentials around rather like a turtle.
These particular totes feature a quirky nautical theme featuring Viking-esque ships in easy to mix 'n match neutrals. While I can easily see myself using both of these, my current stock of totes is anything but lacking; so I'm offering both up as giveaways. I will draw two winners and fill them with some small goodies for each winner.

Generally, I have my favorite wallet from Montreal, a pouch with chapstick and a hair elastic and such things, a small notebook, and my planner. All the necessary things to organize my life. Of course, I have keys and my phone as well, and sometimes a bottle of water or a granola bar.

I think you should have asked me: What DON'T you tote around? I'm always been joked with for my love of all things a little too big when it comes to purses, but I have good reason.
If I'm wearing heels that day, I gotta pack a pair of flats, a bottle of water (you never know when you're going to need to quench your thirst) my purple wallet (that goes so oddly well with my neon green phone) a small collection of lipsticks, a cereal bar and my trusty laptop, Chuck.

I tote around my Digital SLR, my makeup bag, wallet, hairbrush, multivitamins, iTouch and cell phone. The SLR takes up a LOT of space though, which is why I need a tote!!
PS if you can't tell, I'm pretty much unable to use small bags :S
It depends on my mood as to what i tote. For instance, I I'm going somewhere, and only need the essentials, I always make sure i have my phone, chapstick, keys, ID, and maybe a credit card just in case. If I'm going someplce like shopping or out to dinner, I'll probably bring my whole purse which includes the above items plus things like a wallet, checkbook, lotion, hand sanitizer, extra makeup, gum, band-aids, etc. And if I happen to be going somewhere that may be interesting or wacky, ill throw in my camera and possibly iPod also.
I need to carry books for school, my glasses so I can see, sunglasses, burts bees chap stick, and my CTA card for Chicago Transit!
What doesn’t go in my tote? My job is to take care of 80 + executives in a major international company. My love of totes quickly turned me into the go to gal for everything… Got a nasty cut, I got a band-aid. Sore throat? I got cough drops, if someone is hungry I got snacks. Broke a heel I got a mini repair kit… If someone forgets their schedule its no problem because on top of all the other stuff I have in there I also have their schedules with their meetings as well. I some how manage to even find some space for my own things (Phone, wallet, keys, planner, and so on) I’ve always carried everything in my totes is my one go to bag that I know I can cram everything into…
On weekends everything gets dumped from my work tote and restocked with my weekend gear (yes this also includes a first aid kit) my life fits in a tote.

I carry around: my wallet, cell phone, at least 2 different chapsticks, various chewing gums, because i never knew what flavour i might like,my camera, a cardigan/scarf, a book, my iPod, some pens, a small pouch with girl essentials such as aspirins and a bottle of water. if i'm with my boyfriend, i often have to carry his iPhone and his wallet as well.
My essentials are my camera and chapstick, can't leave home without them! Then I've got the standard cell, wallet, keys. I usually have my ipod with me and sometimes a sweater if I'm going out to eat or going to a movie.

My tote tends to carry so much necessary junk! Tiny tissue packets, small notebook for things I must remember, water, a piece of fruit (just incase i get hungry), cable for my camera and miscellaneous accessories I sometimes remove at the end of day and forget to take out.
I tote my life with me...never wanting to be caught without my essentials to get me through the day: wallet (shopping!), mobile (yak yak yak), ipod *hums*, make-up bag (to avoid mascara runs), novel (while waiting for friends who are running late), notebook (to jot down inspirations) and umbrella (to keep the frizz away)~!
all in all, my tote and stuff become my pillow at the end of the day to rest my tired head & shoulders :)
I have the same tendencies as other commenters: I carry wallet, keys, cell (everywhere), then add in camera, hand cream, lip gloss, etc. for "special occasions."
My work bag has gained 5 pounds by Friday, so I have to purge on Sunday evenings so she can fill back up the following week. :)

In my bag I always carry my camera, a book to read (right now I'm re-reading the Great Gatsby), some lipbalm and hand cream and most of the time I have some small container of candy. It isn't unusual to find doggy treats and a little portable water dish too for my small puppy!

I tend to carry too much with me and always have to go through my bag once a week to weed out old notes, forgotten receipts & candy wrappers.
I always have my wallet & a notepad with me to write in, something to read if I find myself waiting for a long time, a cardigan and/or scarf to fight off a chill, my camera, dill pickle pumpkin seeds & Vitamin Water (I am addicted) & whatever current project I'm working on (usually knitting).

Me and my friend have shared custody of my Twin Peaks dvdbox, and evertime we se each other the box switches beetween my bag and hers. So I'll probably carry Laura Palmer and the gang around in that tote, and become crazy tote lady as an answer to the crazy log lady.

I love totes. I too suffer from a turtle-like need to hoard my entire life with me. My current bag contains a wallet, umbrella, water bottle, scarf, sweater, cell phone, camera, pill case, stress-relieving squeezable ball, pocket mirror, batteries, pencils and pens, comb, bobby pins and hair tie, chapstick, hand sanitizer, keys, an "I Love You" stone from my mother, a Scottish good luck stone, and the complete works of Flannery O'Connor. Whew!

I tend to carry around my work stuff -- lunch, shoes, id tags, makeup, wallet -- but sometimes, on days when I'm feeling inspired/nostalgic/homesick, my journal and my small blue teddy bear from childhood. I guess we all need our own form of a security blanket, and these things make me feel more like home no matter where I go!
I really like the nautical theme on the bag -- my dad was in the Navy and I used to sail in high school, so maritime items have a special place in my heart :)

I carry my life around in my one little tote that i own. good stuff!

at the moment, due to extensive thesis-writing i always carry a pocket-dayplanner and two notebooks (one for ideas and one for to-do-lists/have-done-lists) around with me. also, i have my mobile phone, a bite of chocolate or an apple, a bottle of water and several pens including highlighters in my tote. considering the fact that i mostly do my groceries directly after a day at the library, i also try having an extra tote with me, and because of fallish weather i have papertowels for my nose and a fabric-towel for my bike (in case it gets wet). oh, and of course my purse and keys, of which there are loads. i thinks that's about it. if you leave out old receipts flying around here and there...
So cute! I carry TONS and tons of stuff :) A bunch of lip gloss, icebreakers gum and mints, my two cell phones, iPod, my wallet, various tylenol type medicines...

I always seem to have some kind of camera, my wallet & keys (of course), iPhone, lip gloss, sunnies, a day planner (although I never use it), one of my latest magazines, a book (presently In Defense of Food, by Michael Pollan), some sort of snack, and always ALWAYS, a trusty cardigan.

Dear Creatures is lovely, and that is a fun, fun tote. I almost always carry a journal of baking recipes with me, nail polish, earrings, my camera, and extra film. I guess there is the quintessential wallet-phone-keys thing too!
I have been living in 2 places for the past 3 4 months. I tote around my life and collect many a pair of shoes and tupperware. At one point I had to empty my bags in my car leaving me a selection of shoes to choose from in the morning. Although it sounds brilliant, the thought of someone stealing my car with all my shoes in it is scary...
I tote; my work tablet, sketches, cell phone, shoes, tupperware, food, free giveaway items from work and of course...my paycheck.
I am a professional nomad. I travel from city to city every few months, and I move even more often. Over the years of living on an airplane, I've found that my contents of my entire life can fit in a tote bag: a laptop given to me after college, my orange-leather bound journal that's about to fall apart, excess jewelry and an LBD (just in case for the you never knows), my paper thin phone, so thin that I end up missing all my calls looking for the phone, my iPod so I can have a soundtrack for all my experiences, and a passport. Just in case.
hmmmm, let's see, i carry around books, bobby pins, cds & ipod, emergency snacks, pictures of outfits and people that i like, and my car keys. what i don't carry is my cell phone, because i hate it. eck.

On a non-school day I can pass as a normal person and not some bag lady, but once Monday rolls around its a different story. I usually carry a water bottle, wallet, makeup bag, hair brush, pony tails, bobby pins, chap-stick, ipod, headphones, cell phone, two notebooks, my planner, pens and pencils, gum, a snack, car keys, and when it gets chilly I throw in a scarf as well.
Other than my school stuff, I tend to tote around my Moleskine, Burt's Bees chapstick, Fossil wallet, cell phone, and a good book for long, unexpected waits.

The more the merrier! I hate that feeling when you're like "Ohhh I wish I'd remembered to bring that!" Essentials are phone, camera, lipgloss, sunglasses, moleskine, wallet, and keys!
Hmm.. my large purse is starting to get a hole in the bottom because of all the stuff i usually have in there - wallet, coin purse, keys, couple lipsticks that i rarely use, at least 3 pens ( i can never find just one), phone and camera, a paperback book - there's ones that are the perfect size i tend to get books for different occasions based on size, notebook, and sunglasses.

Ooh yeah, I tend to lump all my stuff in a bag, too. I need lots of space for the variety of things I end up carrying. While I usually have keys, wallet, and iPod, the things that I depend on most are my yellow pocketknife Bumblebee (yes, I named my pocketknife. After the transformer. Cause it transforms, and it's yellow.), my little vintage sewing kit that looks like a cigarette lighter, either a big or small notebook for jotting things down, sometimes knitting or other work, and often a paperback. My current tote (which I made for my laptop actually) is sort of falling apart.
As long as I'm passionate with photography, I'd carry 1 to 3 cameras - depends where I'm going to. If only to school, I'd take my analog body, but if to the city - I'd love to start documenting fashion look of my city, so additional digital, sometimes if I have the film my Polaroid also.
As long as I'm passionate in cooking - I'd use it to transfer flour, sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, eggs, couscous, meat, pasta, coacoa, corn etc to my house.
And as long as I'm rather thin - additional sweater or something to cover cause yesterday I felt true autumn coming:)

So, I carry a tote in addition to my huge bag/purse just about everyday of my life. Yes, it's true--I cannot fit everything into a giant purse, the tote is a MUST. So I tend to carry at least one magazine, probably a pair of shoes, a cardigan or sweater, and whatever library book I've got myself reading at the moment (currently this would be an autobiography called "SLASH"), so yeah--TOTES are right up my alley, and so is this blog!

I always carry a tote around, but mine is not nearly as stylish as this one. Inside you'll always find a book, my planner, sometimes my lunch, my hairbrush if I left home in enough of a hurry, and all the random stuff I can't fit into my purse (yes, I carry a purse as well).

I love big bags because I always feel the need to tote around a zillion things with me. Always in my bag are some sort of reading material (usually poetry), a notebook and pen, lip balm, my cell phone if I'm feeling social, and my iPod.

When I go out looking for a place to write I carry a tote stuffed full with my laptop, a library book or two, my moleskin and pens and pencils, chapstick, phone, and a camera just in case. :)
I tote knitting and crocheting supplies in my canvas bags, to the every-other-week Stitch and Bitch parties that my friends and I throw.
At the bottom of any of my bags is a thick layer of pencils and pens. Cellphone, wallet and buisness card holder tend to sink down to that layer... as well as any loose change I have forgotten to deal with. (Tiny slips of paper with phone numbers or fortunes on them also tend to show up down there.) The rest of the bag is more orderly: sketchbook, notebook, journal, free reading book, school book and, if I feel like it, my laptop are all regulars. Sometimes a vintage purse containing art supplies with jump on board with a watercolor pad. Sudoku puzzle books sometimes appear if I know I will be waiting somewhere a long time.

I've been dying to find a great little tote bag! During the summer months, it would additionally carry around a suit and small towel, and otherwise I'd have: keys, cell phone, wallet, camera, ipod, sunglasses, pen, pencil, notepad, lip blam, lip gloss, mascara, brush, a small sudoku book and a good read (currently, The Other Queen by Philippa Gregory).
in addition to the essentials: keys, cell phone, about 5 tubes of chapstick/lip balm (i like to be safe), a couple pens (also to be safe), i ended up bringing 4 books with me the last time i babysat. one i had to read for school, but didn't like it and it reminded me of another book i really liked, so i used that book as a reward for reading a chapter of the school book. i'm also reading Spencer's "Fairie Queene," and in case i wanted some light reading, i also brought a book of ghost stories. i was afraid my bag would break.
I usually carry my books in my backpack since I'm a college student. When I have a purse, I usually have a wallet, lip gloss, checkbook, and whatever I happened to throw in there!

What an adorable tote! Can you believe I have none? I have been on the lookout for some time now, and this one is just perfect. I always carry so much around, my wallet, my phone, mp3 player, pens, keys, a planner, a notebook, a pouch with chapstick, a comb, some medication (painkillers for headache, something agains hay fever and such) hairpins and elastics, a bottle of water, something to eat, chewing gum or mints, my camera, etc. I would be lost without my bag!
Oh, totes are my obsession, I use them all the time! :) Hmm, I carry a lot in mine. Generally a classic poetry book/novel,cell phone, all my makeup for the day, my camera, and random objects I find interesting(i.e photographs, roses)..Oh and of course my wallet.

Whenever I try to downsize to a smaller purse/bag I always regret it and end up carrying half my stuff. I would most definitely fill that adorable tote with the following: wallet, cellphone, mini notepad, a magazine, a book (probably overdue), ipod (new) and ipod (old) with all my old favorite songs, my ipod charger so I can watch Mad Men at lunch, my journal, planner, lotion, little pickle purse with chap stick and tylenol, gum, keys, pens, sharpie, itunes free download cards from sbux, waterbottle, and a tiny legal pad with wedding song playlist for my good friend. Holy crap that's a lot of stuff! :D
a simpilar answer would be what I don't carry! workout clothes, shoes, groceries, girts, weekend getaway stuff, etc etc.
I LOVE big bags, whether they be totes or just big purses. I always have pens/pencils, my USB storage drive, a wallet, a coin purse, keys, makeup bag, gum, my phone, my iPod, a hairbrush, lotion, my planner, hair ties, my digital camera, a composition notebook, and a book. I spend a lot of time on the bus, so I need to keep myself occupied. :)
I always have a multitude of pens and a much-scribbled-in notebook, three different shades of lip gloss (at least), a magazine, Tylenol, water bottle, bobby pins, hair elastics, hand cream, etc etc etc... and more or less, depending on the excursion!
I too am a bit of a packrat. On average I'm carrying the following: A makeup bag (filled with makeup that I'm not wearing currently but have worn at some point and it ended up in the bag and so now i carry it until It's full wherein it will be emptied and the process continues); a City Paper (free weekly-news and entertainment), three books (Let's go Eastern Europe, The Best of Prague, and Lolita at the moment)money id credit cards (not in wallet, spilling about freely)keys; phone; notebook and pen; snacks such as granola bars and raisins; recent purchases (usually more makeup or stuff from Lush)receipts and scraps of paper;ugh just everything.
I love this bag! I would most definitely tote the (several) books I'm in the process of reading, as well as my lunch, sunglasses (in case the sun ever shines again), a cardigan sweater and...anything else I find layin' around that deserved to be toted in this great bag!

I would defintely "tote" my wallet, hp, ipod, camera, ds lite, personal diary.
However, if I am out getting groceries, then i would only fill it with my wallet, hp and ipod!
Well, I'm looking for a bag that can fit my camera equipment. I have this ugly green canvas/nylon thing, very industrial, not very inspiring. I've got this chunky camera case that fits in the bag, but it needs a better home! As I go around, I tend to have my little wristlet with school ID, $$$$$$ (okay, more like $), etc. and my cell phone. A tote, I believe, is simply to throw everything into. The best aspect of a tote is that you have to dig through EVERything to get what you want! Thanks for the giveaway, by the way. I love writing songs, poems, letters, dabbling with calligraphy, sketching... I'm an ink and paper person, so a notebook and pens are never far. Planner, phone, current reading book(s), keys, Zune player, camera and wallet are life's necessities. By the end of the day, I also have the Daily Wildcat or AZ Daily Star newspaper for the bus ride home!

What do I carry in my tote? A notebook, because I always need something to jot down ideas or sketch in. A compact, a rainbow of pens, dainty gloves or a scarf, and random hair clips and bows. Of course, I'm never without my cell phone and a good book.

I love sailing and I would love to tote around one of these bags. For now I would tote along my rhyming dictionary and notepad with a pencil (so I could write ridiculous poems any time of day), my wallet and cell, my iPod with rubber ducky earbuds (so my ears have yellow creatures of happiness popping out), toothbrush and toothpaste, sunglasses and maybe even a harmonica. Once my broken wrist heals, I would throw in some knitting or crocheting.
Oh boy, I am SO incredibly indecisive so I always have a massive amount of things I need and things I don't in my tote bag/purse/etc.
I always have chap stick, my wallet, a mirror, my phone and lipstick and a hair tie. Then I might toss bobby pins, lotion, book(s), pencils, pens, paper, my small digital camera, gum and I won't go on because this will be a much more lengthy comment if I don't cut it short.

Lesse what do I drag around..haven't gotten a chance to get an ipod yet (i'm behind..) so I still haul around my CD player with a mix of my favorite songs. Trusty 10 year old CD player. Hmm what else..earbuds, my bible, a light sweater and the typical cell phone, keys, wallet and all that goodness.
Hm, let's see. I carry lots of things in my bag, usually - Blackberry, iPod, Hello Kitty wallet, house keys, Victoria's Secret hand lotion, Halls cough drops, Trident gum, Walgreens, chapstick, a Sarah Dessen book, etc. etc., the bare essentials.
The most important thing in my bag is my DSLR. The apple of my eye. My baby. My reason to live. Hah, I'm kidding. Maybe.
I've recently also been carrying around a sketchbook. I'm not much of an artist, but lately I find myself wanting to draw something every time I'm inspired.

I love anything nautical, that bag is adorable! I carry around my nikon d40 & my fish eye. I also have a big wallet that doesn't fit in my pockets so that goes in there as well. Gum & tons of gum wrappers can be found as well. Pens, sunglasses, makeup and probably another disposable camera can be found hiding in there as well.
Can't forget Books + notepads and an extra coin purse.

a book is the base, an ipod is second in line. then comes what surrounds them: money, credit cards and a wallet to keep those. i occasionally carry around my cell phone, and cologne(not perfume though). my little moleskine. a nice disinfectant, wet and dry paper towels. a nice umbrella. i guess that does it.
Totes are my favourite, since I am always carrying WAY too much stuff. As a grad student I'm always carting several heavy books and a jumble of highlighters and pens along with my daily essentials (wallet, keys, day planner, phone, gum, sunglasses, regular glasses). Plus I always have a travel mug full of tea for the road!
I almost bought a very similar tote bag at a gift shop in Bristol, but I resisted due to financial restrictions. Looks like fate has given me a second chance at a nautical tote!
I tote everything under the sun around in my bag. Whenever my friends need anything they always ask if I have any in my bag first (and I usually do!). Keys, wallet, iPod, phone, pharmaceuticals, lip balm, eye drops, mints, hair ties and pins, nail file, diary, a collection of pens and pencils, spare note paper, whatever book I'm reading, sometimes my camera and I always have an extra tote rolled up in there too.

That being said, here's what I lug around with me on a daily basis: My camera, a wallet, Moleskines(one big one and one tiny one), a planner, makeup, lipglosses, sunglasses, a novel (or two), pens, a cell phone, an iPod, and a tiny bag of lucky charms (not the edible kind). Also, various receipts, business cards, and fliers end up sifting down to the bottom of my bags, requiring weekly purges.

What a lovely tote! I tend to carry entirely too many things, so totes are wonderful. I usually have a camera, though I often bring 3 or 4 with me (digital and film), sketchbooks, journals, art/photography books(Like On Photography by Susan Sontag), keys, phone, wallet, Nalgene, iPod, sunglasses, and the strange array of pens, film canisters, and receipts that always manages to spread along the bottom.
I'm an art teacher, so I usually tote random lesson plans, project samples, bits of construction paper, a sketchbook, and a few binders!

I try to always have a pack of gum, a hair elastic, a little bottle of lotion and some dental floss (on top of the regular old phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses). If I'm going out I'll throw in an eyeliner and a lipstick for quick touch-ups.
Hmm I think I take advantage fo the fact that I always lug around a huge bag. I always carry my ipod, cell phone, keys, chapstick, vaseline, hand lotion, my moleskine and a pen (sometimes scissors and glue, if inspiration strikes), a book (marvel zombies, at the moment), and gloves and a scarf, or light cardigan, depending on the weather.
I'm another one of those people who has to take half their life possessions with them everywhere they go. I've always got my D50, my cell phone, the book I'm currently reading, a pack of gum, a stick of Burt's Bees, several Sharpies (in case I run into someone famous at the gas station or something and need an autograph XD), my wallet, my sunglasses, and a cardigan, I tend to get cold easily. Oh, that's so cute! Basically, my entire life goes into my totes -- which, at any given moment, could include my textbooks, gym clothes, umbrella, water bottle, iPod, mobile, etc. Sometimes a cup of coffee even makes it in there.

I plan to tote the newly re-issued Betsy-Tacy high school books. This is my favorite series and they are available Tuesday 9/29 in lush paperback editions. I can't wait to re-read them. I always tote a book, magazine, a protein bar and a bottle of water with lemonade packets. I would love a new tote for my new books!

I always have sunglasses, wallet, keys, 10 different chap-sticks/B&B Works lip-glosses, Hello Kitty band-aids, really crappy digital camera, hand sanitizer, lotion, travel sized febreeze (Why? I do not know), tissues, flower pocket mirror, a book, lots and lots of gum, safety pins and a pen.

Like most people, I "tote" around the obvious things like my wallet, and phone; however, there are a few outstanding items that I consider neccessities that others may not. Some of which include a pair of socks, because my feet tend to get cold and I hate walking around other people's houses without having my feet covered (quite odd I know), granola bars, because I have a hunger that can never be satisified hence the need to carry food around with me, and tape! Why tape? Tape has saved me on numerous ocassions, for example: when I'm wearing a low-cut shirt (note: I am not blessed with the largest of chests :)) it's handy to have tape to secure the shirt so I know I'm not flashing the world my really non-existent chest. Plus, people always have issues obtaining tape for some reason, so it's helpful for others too!
Always a camera or two - one for film and one digital. And definitely all the necessary items like my phone, wallet, lip balm, a lot of tissue because my nose has been wonky lately. My moleskine, a book, a Baggu bag, and a pen!

i suppose with a tote like that, it would come to school with my on tuesday's and thursdays. it would carry my sketchbook, my pencil pouch from florence, italy which contains my drawing materials, my binder, planner, cell phone, wallet, eyeglasses/sunglasses case, compact, ipod, back-up ipod and my mini to-go deodorant (its been very hot here...over 100 degrees, this item might not be around once winter comes if it ever does).
oh, and my big bag of wint-o-green lifesavers candies because i have a bit of an addiction to them and can't go anywhere without them.

I tend to carry around cupcakes,dragons, pixie dust, leprechaun repellent, animal crackers, and a variety of scented soaps. Seeing as how this can all be very difficult to confine in my enormous pockets, I believe this tote would be of particular use to me.

ooh! well, I tend to tote aroung tons of film for my camera, but I walyas seem to leave my camera behind. I tote art supplies often as well, just in case
i'd carry my two favorite chapsticks, carrot and pomegranate, Anna Karenina by Tolstoy, my manatee key chain, my trusty camera, a water bottle (i tend to consume more of this substance than the average human should...) my ipod, with Debussy's Reverie on repeat, and some strawberries. oh and my frequent buyers card from my favorite frozen yogurt place :]
I totally know what you mean about carrying your entire life around with you. Lately, my most important bag essential is a book, I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith. It is beautiful and heartfelt and a perfect read for bus trips or waiting rooms.

I always find myself bringing an absurd amount of things with me when I go out - this includes studying materials (articles, textbooks, and manuals), typical purse items like my wallet and keys, a headband or two in case I need to tame my hair, my ipod and headphones, and a knitting project in case I'm kept waiting somewhere.

Good question. I carry my purse which has everything I need to survive, keys, water bottle and tissue, hand sanitizer and camera. Those are my essentials!
I normally use a tote for my main bag and my essentials would be: purse, umbrella, phone, ipod, keys, book, food, make-up bag and maybe a drink.

Love, love, love totebags, can't get enough of them. I can't leave home without my camera, something to read, something to listen, wallet, identity card, I am allergic unfortunately so tissue tissuetissue, something warm to wear(sweater, a hat,a scarf etc.)phone, keys, some medicine, and always a spare pair of earrings (don't really know why, I always bring one:) I can say I carry a heavy bag everywhere I go:)

Well,I have a collection of tote bags,but I DIY it because I coudln't fine tote bags with a cute print like this one.
SO,I alywas take with me this stuff : a book (you never know when you have some time for a quick read),my phone,my mp3 player (addiction,of course),tissue,a scarf (accesories needed)and I don't know,a bottle of water and those kind of random stuff you can find ina tote bag + there are some days where I have to go to school and then I have rehearsal at the theatre and those are the days I need a tote bag so I can put all my stuff inside !
BUT i think the most important thing is not what you put inside,but whow can you wear THIS incredible cute tote wear? So,I'd say it works with a pair of conforable brown ogg boots + leggings + a cute nude skirt + a nice tee with a cool model + a brown cadgigan + a scarf (you should always wear a scarf)+ the TOTE.

Some things rotate in and out (ipod, book, umbrella) depending on where I'm going, but my staples are: wallet, keys, cellphone, chapstick, nalgene, hand sanitizer, tissues, pen, reusable shopping bag. Pretty boring. I wish I had a lightweight camera I could take w/ me everywhere as well.

Well, i usually make a last minute decision of carrying my oversized handbag-turned-into-a-schoolbag instead of my handbag. So lets see what i have in my bag. wallet, my ID tag, bobby pins that I will find miraculously somewhere in the bag, more hairclip, more hairband if i carefully rummage through my stuff, some coins conveniently hidden in one of the pockets, of course i tend to accidentally bring my pencil case along, my handphone, contact lens casing, camera, oh i found a toothpaste!, my pink watch (i dont like to wear one), a broken watch that has some sentimental value, a candy that a guy I like gave a few mths ago (i couldnt bear to eat it haha), a button from some shirt I bought, pendrive, some centuries old elctric bill of my apartment, cute band-aids,free keychain, sunglasses, a straw (it's wrapped people!), ipod, my nametag, lipgloss, and a bottle of Vitamin C!And extra tissues i collect from fast food outlets, very handy

- my necessity pouch(with all junks like keys, lip balm,etc... I can't live without my pouch)

- My shopping finds (I like to carry big bags to chunk in all my buys)

I tend to 'tote' around a huge black umbrella (just in case it rains, funnily enough it never does when I carry it so it must be magical), an intelligent looking book (currently Anna Karenina by Tolstoy), pens and a bright pink marker (for class), Kleenex (because it is wayyy too embarrassing and horrible when you really have to sneeze and don't have one), phone (which might as well be glued to my hand) + wallet + ipod (might as well be glued to my ears) + lipgloss, stuff I call "just in case stuff" - safety pins and a little vial of perfume - because you NEVER know when you'll need them, and finally a black cardigan which sometimes gets mixed up with my huge black cat, who buries himself in my bag because he loves bags as much as I do, and demands that he be toted around as well because he's somewhat like Nasha and wants to see the world too :)

hmmmmm, I admit that I'm reluctant to say what I 'tote' around... it probably isn't the most artistic thing that could be put into these amazing bags! But oh well; I always have at least 5 sachets of sugar in my bag, which I take from different restaurants, to be taken out at awkward/hungry moments and, uhh, eaten. free food...what can I say? :] and of course, a camera ;) xxx
