Coach Has A Night Out

The entire web seems to be buzzing with news of Fashion's Night Out and all the special events that took place that evening. One such occasion in NYC that somehow managed to combine my love of fashion, illustration, and graffiti was hosted by Coach. Keiko Lynn (and other bloggers) were invited to attend and received tote bags customized by either streetartist Pesu or illustrator Kiersten Essenpreis.

Kiersten's illustrations are whimsical with a delicate touch and often seem to play with a dark sense of humor.

Pesu's graffiti is colorful and bold; often bringing nature to the New York city streets and subtly referencing his Japanese roots.

Both Pesu and Kiersten created live art on Fashion's Night Out, customizing totes before the admiring eyes of those who attended the Coach event. With this eclectic pairing (and reaching out to fashion bloggers) Coach is definitely breathing new life into the historic house. It is exactly these sorts of pairings that make me so excited about fashion.
*Please note this took place in NYC and I'm in Washington State; I did not attend this event.

It seems it has been a great event indeed. It was my birthday but I'm probably the only one who spent the night at home, sleeping... :-(

Jealous, jealous! I went to FNO at the King of Prussia mall, but aside from some cool gowns on display it was pretty lame.

I so wish I could have attended this event - it sounds amazing. To have the opportunity to see art - and fashionable art at that - created right before your eyes would be such a thrilling experience! What a clever idea! :)

Ohhh I would have loved to attend Fashion's Night Out! Maybe someday! Those totes are fabulous! I'm glad Coach is uping their game a bit because the "C" bags haven't really done it for me since I was 10.

Oh I absolutely love the whimsy of both these illustrators! I thought I was over carrying around totes- but one that was hand-illustrated would be a dream.

Fashions night out sounds amazing! I haven't heard of either illustrator but their work looks really cool...I think I like the girls with the war hats the best- if i could actually have a hat with a battleship on it it would be even cooler haha

Wow, Pesu's work looks so amazing. I shall definitely have to google more!

it'd be quite a decision to pick which artist I would want to do my tote. Oh what I would have given to go to FNO. Washington's location can be quite inconveniant...
