You May Forget My Going, But You Won't Forget Me

We spent two full, wonderful days visiting with my sister and being treated to her homemade peach shortcake among other treats before trooping onward on Saturday. Since then we've crossed multiple state lines and visited national monuments and tourist traps with equal aplomb. The road trip is thus far going mightily well (knock on wood), there is so much to see and little chance for boredom. I'm feeling the temperature drop as we venture northward, though these outfits were clearly snapped in warmer states on sunnier days...

I adore both dresses! The diamond print is so lovely. The first dress looks really nice against the blue, blue sky and that barren landscape.

Aren't road trips just the best? I love watching terrain pass by for hours and happening across little road-side stores.

Why do you have such lovely clothes? I always seem to buy such terrible things. How much do you spend on clothing?

I really like the second to last photo. I've never been to the Midwest or plains states, but when I do I want to take the time to gaze out at the vast expanses that stretch on and on.

I'm so jealous! I would love to be on a road trip right now. I need to drive and listen to music for a few hours to clear my head!

PS: how great are Vain & Vapid pieces?! I noticed that you wore a shirt from her store a while back. I've been seriously contemplating buying something from her store!

Love that you look like a lady even on a road trip. Most people would be wearing denim cut-offs, a tank and a bag of cheetos on their hand. Not you...
