To Treat One's Own Country As A Foreign Land

The more I travel, the more I want to see...it is a never ending cycle. Regardless, here are a few of my favorite snaps from my road trip which is now at an end although I am still longing for more. From geysers to antelope this is the Midwest (and Pacific Northwest) with its vast sky and seemingly endless possibilities.

These are amazing! They capture the midwest perfectly. Definitely makes me want to hit the road--not that I didn't already, haha.

After my nationwide RV trip in 2007, I am so amazed by the beauty of this nation. It really is quite incredible. I think a lot of people miss out nowadays by flying to and fro, instead of making cross country treks in the old days. One really comes to understand the beauty of America when they take roadtrips. I was blown away by the geological wonders of Yellowstone. Did you go to the Lewis and Clark Caverns? They were really interesting as well. You get to hike deep into the earth and see things like phosphorescent glowing rocks and enormous stalagmites and stalagtites. Incredible!

looks like you had a really nice trip. it's good to have that urge to always want to see more. personally, if i don't get to travel at least every 2 months, i start to feel stuck in life, so i make a point of getting away as much as i can - even if it's for just a day.

Wow! It looks like you had an amazing road trip. These pictures are gorgeous! The waterfall is breathtaking!

There really is so much to see. I love your title, because there really is so much to see and do in this country. It astounds me how many people have hardly been out of their own state!

Road trips really are the best way to discover this land of "vast sky and seemingly endless possibilities." :)

I think it was about Wyoming (or the eastern part of Montana) when I started seeing antelope. That is also when I started singing "Home On the Range" and the boy got quite annoyed with me. As you know, there are no antelope in Washington State, and therefore they seemed like such a novelty to me!

Hi how are you?

I was looking through your blog, and I found it interesting, and inspiring to me, so I thought why not leave you a comment.

I too have a blog that I use out of Southern California here in San Diego.

Mostly it is a collection of artistic expression, and I have many friends with the same interests, maybe you can become my friend, and follow, and I can also follow you, if that is okay.

Well I hope to hear from you soon, and or read about you….LOL

Sincerely,
Jesse Noe
