Joy Follows Like A Shadow

The human need to adorn and decorate ourselves is long-standing and documented. Yet, as our society progresses and our advancement leads to less hard labor and more time thinking, the way we beautify gets conceptual. So, what will be the next jewelry trend? Shadows, perhaps?

Maiko Takeda creates her shadow jewelry with minimal and geometric elements of circles and pristine cut outs on thinly hammered metal pieces. When the light shines through the shadows magically seem to manifest on the skin, cinematic in quality.

This is such a unique idea! I always hear makeup artists saying that they try to create shadows or contours to the face to slim it down, this does it for you naturally...haha...Very cool. Modern and refreshing.

Interesting. It reminds me of art created to have shadows be a part of it. Like the shadow will complete the form.
These are cool.

These are beyond cool! There are a lot of things that are so magical I don't want them to go mainstream, but this I do, selfishly, so I can have one for myself. I love the eye collar.

That's seriously the coolest thing I've seen in a while! I like your intro -- which reminds me of a current debate between my bf and I. He thinks clothes should only be about function. What do you think about that?
