These photographs by
Lars Botten fully convince me that I need an animal mask. Don't they rather remind you of a modern-day Bonnie and Clyde sort of adventure? Perhaps they held up an ice cream parlor before they hopped into their convertible and headed for the fields...

I love masks...but I prefer the type Holly put on in Breakfast. These ones would scare the sh*t out of me! LOL. Pictures are rad though in that 70's eerie way.
I can't decide if these are cute or terrifying...nonetheless, I want a fox one. I could probably do a rather excellent lion impression too what with my mane of hair lol.
Oh, neat little set! I love weird mask pictures. I need to get myself a mask.
Wow! Blog makeover! I LOVE the background... now off to catch up and find the post where you say how you made it and make me super jealous of your talent. Ooops, I can't believe I've missed your blog for that long! xxx
Oh, I love the new design of your blog!
Reminds me of breakfast at Tiffany's!
I've never really been that into masks but these pictures just stunned me. They are amazing.
Great pictures! The black and white make them seem more mysterious.
I really wanna go on a roadtrip now. Scummy motels and all. Love it.

Cool pics! A roadtrip would be the perfect summer holiday thing to do.
I like your new background wallpaper, it's a bit calmer for the eyes and very pretty:)
These are great, I love the second and last photos =)
These masks are so fun! I want the wolf one, haha.

These are so cheap. Might order one for the heck-of-it.
The convertible looks fun, but the masks look funner (not a word)
<3
People in masks such as this often leave me feeling a little creeped out with their unchanging expressions and hidden eyes, however these pictures just look so fun!
Oh to go on a roadtrip in such a gorgeous old car!
VERY nice!
They look great, though masks always have tended to creep me out for some reason. The shoot is really cool, love the car. ^-^

well someone's changed their blog layout! AH! I LOVE IT! So much more you. It reminds me of General Pants.. an Australian Clothes Store.
ah i want some! they're so cool! i think i saw them in other pictures (mayeb someone i know on facebook?) and i was mad jealous.
I love seeing animal masks in photographs, they're fun, a little mysterious and creepy all at the same time!
These photos are delightful. It would be great fun to romp around in an animal mask.
Spooky!
You're so right! I need one to!
This are pretty scary, but kind I like it :)
These are amazing!
REminds me of Donnie Darko =D
Those masks (and the setting) belong in a science fiction book. Or perhaps a horror film? I'd freak a little bit if I drove by that car in real life...
I love masks especially the ones used at costume balls. Animal masks can be really cool though! xxoxoxo
Awesome set of pics - a genuine source of inspiration. I love that they are simultaneously beautiful, polished and somewhat disquieting.
aww great masks ! they look real somehow .
ooh, great masks.
i would love one (:

I can see Bonnie and Clyde, but I think of that great scene in Breakfast at Tiffanys when they steal animal the masks, so funny.
there's something scary about these bunny masks :D
Very neat.
Hope you find your mask soon, I'm sure it'll be an amazing post! :)
I always get kind of creeped out by masks, especially those sort of ones... but they can also be very beautiful. I would love to go to a masked ball, for example. =] =].
freaky..
oh my, i love these masks! i once curated an exhibition on the theme masks. combining beauty and spooky is such a great feeling.
I'm liking the bunny masks, although the slightly screwy-eyed carnivore freaks me out XDD
Whenever I look at animal masks I always remember the Guerrilla Girls and their fiery gorilla heads. One may not agree with their ways but you've got to admit, they actually make gorillas look good :P
p.s. I forgot to mention in my last comment that I love your new layout!
i miss your blog so much when i was traveling! LOL. really. i just got back! :) and i love the editorials! and your outfits below..
xx
I've never been one for an animal mask, but these look so fun!
They have me convinced too! How neat would that be for outfit posts?
I know loads of other people have said it but when I see people wearing animal masks it makes me think of Breakfast at Tiffanys.
these images are wonderful- and i have to compliment your header- its lovely!
Those masks are both cool and terrifying.
Love it
Slightly freaky but awesome
love the vintage look car
happy 4th of july clothes horse :)
i think we all have a mask on regularly already. we put on a diff face for diff people and events.
These feel like a Mark Ryden painting. :)
These are so wonderful. I have wanted a white rabbit mask and a Guy Fawkes mask (I suppose Americans will only recognise it as the V for Vendetta mask) for sooo long. Although...where would I put my glasses. Hope you are having a beautiful 4th of July dear :)
Great photos... They remind me a bit of Recuenco's fairytale images. Xxxc
I know what you mean about animal masks. I've been seeing them in photos constantly, and I'm now determined to find one.
That bunny mask is a popular one! And the pictures faturing it are almost always nice, like these ones.
By the way there's a sort of weirdly cool appeal in bunny masks...thinks of Donny Darko!
The bunny reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.. :p it's cute though, but I prefer one of those.. less real ones ;)
So cute!
ohhh if only summer was really like this, girls in floaty dresses in the country, so cute!
The masks are a bit creepy..
it reminds me of breakfast at tiffany's and eleanor hardwicks photos. I love them, especially the last two.

The black and white, the models, the whimsy of the photo tones down the masks. i love it!
I wonder why animal masks are so prevalent in photography these days, especially fashion-y stuff like this?
Could it be a cheesy metaphor about fashion? Like "we all wear masks" or some stupid something like that? Probably they are just cute.
At any rate I like them a lot. What a funny little road trip!
I love your blog. I'm going to add you to my links list!!
