It Took An Eight-Year-Old Child To Bring 'Em To Their Senses

I am having a wee bit of a lucky streak lately and was fortunate enough to win the Half-Girl giveaway from her blog. Her package was much more magical than I ever could have imagined and all packed prettily away in a quaint cigar box. Every item was so wonderfully random and lovely--I am reminded of Scout's memory box from To Kill A Mockingbird...

Outfit details: dress- Pretty Trashy, shoes- H&M, bracelet- China Town, necklace- Stadium Swapmeet in Hawaii

Like the book but LOVE the movie.

Gregory Peck is my dream man. I was sooo sad when he died. Sigh. Why can't they make them like him anymore? In fact, I base a lot of my characters on him :S

That dress is so lovely! And yes that box is very Scout-ish. Makes me want to read that book again. Or just watch the movie so I can gaze at Gregory Peck. yum.

Lucky! I never win contests on blogs. Partly because half the time I don't know if I'm doing it quite right. I like the picture of you in the woods holding the cigar box. It reminds me of Hansel and Gretel a little bit, like you should be dropping crumbs behind you or something. Cute dress too. The shape is perfect on you.

What a gem of a box! You're so lucky! :DDD
Also, it seems a bit off that your pretty pretty dress comes from a shop named 'Pretty Trashy', because it most certainly is not trashy! XD

Congratulations! How cute, it looks like a little childhood memory box :) I love that sort of varnished effect on your dress and those shoes look wonderful. And oh my, that last photograph really does make me yearn for life outside the city.

I love your dress! It's just too pretty and those colors are wonderful! The cigar-treasure box is really precious and child-like(in a good way).I love those kind of boxes with little things(usually not valuable but fun or just whimsical).I received sth similar on a Christmas from an ex...Too bad it lost its magic after a bad break-up though

A quick question if you get chance to answer.. How do you post your larger portrait photos? I've been posting things with the 'large' option but they're fairly small..I think I must be missing a trick?

Lovelyy dress
Beautiful picturess

Emily said...

Boxes full of goodies are wonderful things to receive! I like the To Kill A Mockingbird reference, too :)

I love your dress with those shoes. Sadly, I've given up on my hunt for those little flats. My H&M still has the same-way-too-small-pair hanging around. I even scoured through other H&Ms while visiting a friend a few weeks ago and still turned up empty handed. I guess it's not so bad as one can really only wear one pair of shoes at a time and I have plenty of other shoes to be worn ;)

Becca Jane said...

That dress and those shoes together are outfit perfection

That sounds like a very exciting box to look through! Random collections of small things are generally the best around. And what a neat dress!
