It has been more than a year since she last updated her blog. Many newer blogs in this sphere probably don't recognize her. Yet,
she is still my inspiration for daily outfits, no matter what the activity for that day is...you gotta love a girl who wears vintage to hike mountains and gut fish..

she had such a lovely blog. i didn't start mine til after she left but i read it for a long time. she had the kind of life i'm sure many of us dream about (at least on the screen, right? showing particular moments to cultivate an image.) and such great photos :)
Wow she sounds awesome - it's sad when your favs stop blogging, but at least she left a legacy behind for us to read!!
woah .. she wore that to go fishing!
that dressis gorgeous
We Were Damsels
Oh my gosh - I miss Agathe so much! Style Bytes was the best. I was so sad when it got deleted for a while and I couldn't look through the archives! It makes me sad even seeing you post it because her blogs was one of the best out there. I also really miss Fops and Dandies.
she looks so amazing! I wish I had been around for her blog, but I suppose looking at the archives will have to suffice!
The Agathe affair has definitely been the most debated ever on the blogosphere...
I know! I've exhausted her archives! Does anyone know what happened to her? Just got tired of blogging perhaps?
so glad you posted this!
I miss her blog - I got into blogging was after reading hers (and Style Bubble and Kingdom of Style)!!! At least the archives are still up.
I so miss her blog. I actually have a ton of her old posts saved on my hard drive!
She's still so inspirational to me too! I love her little pig, she's the most adorable thing.
I love her outfits! It's a shame she stopped blogging.
Oh I miss her blog too, she was so amazing. I wonder what she is up to now? I'm glad her site isn't locked like it was a couple of months ago.
theres a great sincerity in her pictures. its very refreshing.
xox.

I also like surfing Agathe's still so inspiring blog. And I still think of getting alittle piggie like Molvin... Quite often actually.
I miss Agathe. Hers was the first fashion blog I came across, and I read through the previous two years' posts in a few days after finding it! I went through some of her archives again this spring; I really wish she'd come back.
I miss Agathe too. She was the first fashion blogger I followed. She was featured on some Norwegian newspaper a while ago. Here is the link:

I don't know norwegian but I read it using google translator. She explains why she quitted blogging...
i miss Agathe, too. she's my inspiration and stylebytes was totally the very first fashion blog i've ever read. too bad she has quit blogging =[
this is the google translation of the article about Agathe. I found it really interesting, not just because it shed a little light on what happened to her, but also for its look on the negative side of being an internet celebrity.
i miss the updates! i love her archives but wish there were new posts! ive always loved her style! and dude when i saw this post i seriously thought you were going to announce her return! oh the sadness when i realized you were reminiscing! but then the joy to just see her photos again! oh Agathe we miss you!
Oh, it is a LOSS for the blogging world that her style isn't being broadcast far and wide any longer. Such a strange story, that one is. I don't know what happened to her but she surely underwent a transition. I wonder if she still has her little pig?
I miss Agathe. :/
elle's ennui - Thanks for that fabulous article in translation. Very edifying...
oh gosh i love her to death. she is absolutely amazing. she's one of the main reasons i started blogging. i remember i spent one day going through all her posts. she's truly amazing and an amazing inspiration to all aspiring bloggers and fashion lovers.
For a second I thought she was fully back in the blogosphere and I gasped with delight and was about to type AGATHE!!! I LOVE YOU!! but then I realized she wasn't. Sigh. Still, she's fabulous.
i read her blog it was great... dont u hate it when the best blogs go in the longest hiatus?

maybe we can exchange links? :)
oh yucky. I wouldn't do that no matter what I was wearing.
I miss Agathe very much and I did not know what had happened to her until I saw that article in the comments. I hope she's doing well.
Wow! I'm so sad I missed that!
oh, if only we could start a petition for her to come back. too bad she's not feeling the whole blogging thing anymore...stupid negative commenters. commentators?
As I have said a million times before: Negative comments are not always bad. I have said many things that have pushed Rebecca into hitting the delete button on my comments and she defends her style. Everything has a life cycle and that of that blog was over. What is a blog with no soul?
I haven't seen her blog before. Her style and pictures are very nice.
she looks fantastic. i've looked at some of her other stuff and it's just great.
I love how she's not afraid to wear a gorgeous dress to go fishing!
I KNOOOOOW WHAT YOUU MEEAN!!
I MISS HER SOO FUC#INNNNG MUCH!!!
:(
@Nadia,
While I agree some negative comments are to be allowed--I do believe there are also abusive and uncalled for comments.
That said, having read the article on Agathe her absence seems to be more related to her personal life than any negativity she encountered on the web. Also, I imagine there is such a thing as tiring of blogging--no one intends to do this forever...
K.line, she no longer has the pig, and TCH is right, the issue was her personal life, not negative comments.
Oh I miss her blogging! She was such a great mixture of style--so inspirational!
It's a shame she is not in the blogosphere anymore. I never read her blog while she still posted, it would have been great to have her back. Her style was impeccable and she was so sweet.
xo
Sophie
okay, i read that article awhile back, but i swore part of it was about some of the not very nice comments she got. maybe she just mentioned that in the article, and didn't say it was the main reason she left? it doesn't really matter anyway...as long as she's doing well and as long as her blog is still inspiring other people.
I remember her! I could spend all day reading her blog. So aesthetically perfect!
I miss her forever!
And yes, your pic is in the links again!! :-) here too if you remember.
i didn't discover her blog until she stopped posting unfortunetly, but her archives were so so exquisite.

OH MY GOD! my heart skipped a beat! i thought you're gonna say that she's back! Oh i love her. I still read her blog, and every time i see something very inspirational. I miss her. Wish she will get back.
Ah ha. I smell a challenge. :) I'm going to submit my guess to you via email. If nothing else, it may amuse you.
Great post! I love when bloggers pay tribute to their favorites/inspirations. It's a shame she's not blogging anymore, but thank you for sharing.
Whoo she sounds awsome! pitty she left!
my god! vintage when gutting fish? i could never do it. i'd be so freaked out about getting blood all over myself. but she is so awesome!
Agathe's blog was the very first fashion blog I read. Her style is so inspirational; I loved how she would look so timeless with her vintage dresses one day and then completely modern the next. I wish she hadn't left the blogosphere.
You are quite right, I had not heard of her, thank you for the link. I am loving the antique gold bow on the white floral dress...interesting colour combination.
oh yeah..agathe. i do miss her too. her style was amazing and really inspiring. sad what happend to her irl.
Wow, I've never seen her before but she seems like a real cool chick. x
wow... i love her white dress.
i link this blog,. =D
oh my. i thought i was the only one who constantly visit her still :)
yup to bad!
o i very much missed her. she is lovely, i lov eher style and i adore her beauty, she has such a unique face which is just amazingness
When she cut her hair into bangs? It was like a totally different person. Every piece was transformed as if we'd never seen it before. And those cheek bones could cut glass.
Oh it's sad what happened to her. :(
You're right: she's really an icon.
@Rebecca: Me giving uncalled and abusive comments is more me being a bully. You handle it well, though. Unlike Agathe who seemed to be terrified at the idea of receiving negative reviews.
I hope people understand when you stop blogging.
LOL i really like what u said i guess,
It's a pity many of the new bloggers out there haven't even heard of her. Good gesture of you, mentioning her here. She is part of fashion blogging history. And as much as I miss her unique sense of style, I really understand why she might have chose quitting blogging to protect something more important to her.
omg yeah! what hapened to her? she had the dopest outfits ever!
Yeah...I miss Agathe too. She was so awesome. I hope some day she'll come back and blog for us some more.
I remember Agathe!! I was so sad when she stopped blogging! :( We all wondered what happened, because that was at a time when she went on a trip, promised to blog afterwards and never did. However, she's left a legacy of great style behind her :)
it's tells you how people connect in such a distance
Ah, Agathe. She was featured in my "Love Notes" feature often. While I miss her, she has to do what is the most healthy for her life and I don't blame her for making the decision to stop when she did. Sounds like the personal issues she was dealing with were enough on their own. I'm still an erratic blogger and all I did was have a baby, not a personal tragedy.
Great to see where your inspiration came from! Mine was my friend ChloƩ.
Hope you're having a nice weekend.
I miss her blog as well! Always wanted to hear more about that pig of hers... ;)
I loved her blog so much, it was actually one of the first I started reading and one of the inspirations for starting my own.
I can't agree more! I still secretly wish Agatha will return blogging someday. She is an inspiration
ah, i miss her. long live agathe!
